Perhaps I should define worst, since the BW can get confused.
Should it be Linden: for giving up the captaincy to Messier? For not inspiring others around him to play better? Not knowing his career was over 2-3 years before he retired? He wasn't that talented to begin with...led the team to the finals and that's it...but plenty of heart & character...
Or Nassie, probably one of the most sickest captains ever to interview. Same crappy attitude...didn't seem to care...reluctant to even be there after the games...monotone...boring...perhaps made Bertuzzi better, and for sure, made Morrison looked better (he sure played bad in Anaheim, they cut him, terrific!!!)...and how could a captain apologize on the PA @ GM Place and say, "...we choked..."??? Wasn't exactly playoff material either, and not just in points, but in terms of taking his team to the next level.
