This is the trailer for this documentary about young men going to Thailand and having too much fun that it changes there life forever. It is becoming a phenomena. Some guys are in the middle of high stakes careers and they give it all up instantly. It happened to me and can happen to any guy if you want it to. Its like a drug but its not a bad drug, its just the idea that you can live a different life away from the rat race of the west. Fuck the west, all the stress and debt and bullshit.

I met this guy.

It's not just young men. I went to Thailand in my early 20's and have been back several times. I plan to spend a month or 2 there this winter too.

I've done a lot of traveling and although traveling itself changes your perspective, Thailand is special.

CHEAP everything, super delicious food, beautiful people who by nature are sweet (although I find many who work too long with tourists turn a bit rough), breathtaking beaches, an incredible party scene and they're well set up for tourists.

A vacation in Thailand isn't like spending a week in an all-inclusive resort in Mexico. You experience a different way of life and it's addictive. Laid back or party-party, it's all there.

Heaven.

It's sexy to be smart and nerdy.
There is a very fine line between being smart and a smart-ass, unfortunately, you just come off as an ass.:D

You will always be a child of two worlds, WessSpock. The only question is, which one will you choose?

You're actually wrong dumbass! You should've kept your pie hole shut for a change. Sometimes its better to stay quiet and let people suspect that you're an idiot than speak and confirm it!

Uh, wilde <> wess

wilde was not the person with the "its" vs "it's" trouble.

And now to fix Spermy's error - the greatest sin of all - posting a low res pic of a babe when a high-res pic is available.

Edit: Alrighty - I give up. That doesn't seem to be working. I see why Spermy didn't link the large photo. I can't get it to work. Oh, well, at least I get to enjoy it.
I went to this link to view it. Dunno if it will work for you. It's cached on my computer, so it looks fine to me.

Oh, and back OT - That video has had the effect on me of an advertisement for Thailand. Thailand has now moved up my list to #3 place I want to travel to.

That's interesting Small Pleasures. I don't just go for the women either. I also love the driving, no rules on the road and nobody gets mad at you.

To the right
Much! I thought I tried that, but as long as it worked! Thanks!
You're welcome. Not sure what worked, I just kept clicking this mouse thingy until the pretty picture appeared. :)

Thailand doesn't appeal to me, I've met a few rig pigs with interesting stories to share, one guy I know lives there half the year so you don't really have to leave one world for the other.
I doubt if I will ever visit.

Don't bother visiting because if you do and you really like it, you will plan everything around your trips.

I'm curious as to where you stayed? My sister and her s/o stayed in a resort that had armed guards outside of the hotel, as gangs were a huge problem. What areas or cities would be safe, with beaches and ok for families, but still has a bit of a night life?

Gangs ? I think you are mistaking SE Asia with South America. Gangs are not a problem. I show up without even booking a hotel. Here are some good places.

Koh Samet

Koh Samui

Koh Chang

Phuket

Pattaya

Chang Mia

After giving up their high paying jobs, what do these guys do
for a living? Do they live FT in LOS? I've seen and heard of a
number of Westerners who blow their load and end up as
beggers on the streets of Bangkok or Pattaya. From what
i've read most teachers there make only 30K Baht (1 G CDN}
a month, while a 7-11 employee gets maybe 1/4 of that.

They mainly change there long term outlook and want to retire early rather then have kids and all the bullshit.
Allot of them get fucked but some guys get lucky doing diving or something. Others open bars, I know thats not usually a good idea.
