I have a previous employee who's taken me to Human Rights. I was wondering if there's anybody who may be able to assist me in this regard. I'm happy to provide details. PM me if you could help.

Human Rights or the labour relations type folks?

If it's the Human Rights tribunal, legal advice won't help you. That kangaroo court has said many times that they don't really care what the laws are.

That's the same so-called tribunal that ruled that nurses had to get the same salary as doctors because they both were taking care of patients.

They also ruled that phone operators doing mindless work working at a desk in a nice cumfy office had to get the same pay as phone linemen out climbing poles in -40 degree snowstorms

They get overturned in real court constantly, but meanwhile it will cost you a fortune in lawyers.

Get on the phone to a lawyer. You will find that many lawyers will give you five to ten minutes of free advice over the phone. Ask some friends if they know a good lawyer. An introduction also helps with getting a bit of free advice too.

Claim that you're a visible minority and counter-sue for racial discrimination, lol.

In all honesty, call a lawyer or maybe your MLA/MP.... they might be able to point you to the right direction.

Wow! what a novel idea, Get a Lawyer, why didn't I think about that? the reason why I posted on the board was because just maybe there might be someone out there that may be of some assistance. I'm working to use the power of networking.

... or even some recomendations. Rather than flipping the yellow pages, hoping I might luck out with a good one.

For those who may not know. Human Rights is a tribunal setup to "protect" employees in the workplace from things such as discrimination, wrongful dismissal, and the like. It's not a nice process.
