out of curiosity, what part of the city you prefer to see an SP?

I'd travel a long way for quality service for sure... From a pure convenience factor though, central is best I's say. I don't know if there are any demographics of where most of the pooners live... we come from all over the place!

I do travel a long way so location makes a difference for me. Typically the south side is most convenient for me to get to easily, downtown from the yellowhead isn't too bad either. West side sucks, I hardly ever go to that area and it would be more of a hassle. East side is not even something I consider.
But to be honest, it wouldn't matter where my ATF worked, I would make the effort anyway.

Location
The only time location really comes into things is when looking for parking!! Generally though, the SP is the thing rather than the location.

To me it doesn't matter. Not concerned about location. If there is someone at a certain place I want to see, then I will phone and book and then leave at a time that will ensure I arrive early.
I think downtown is best for most people. These guys are saying that location doesn't matter, but I bet most people wouldn't drive more than 20 minutes to someone they have never tried before.... traveling for an ATF is a different matter.
I travel from Red Deer, so it is like 1 1/2 hours to get there. So, by that time it really does not matter where she is, if I am interested enough to drive to Edmonton, I am going to see her no matter where she is staying. That being said, the South side or Downtown would be easiest for me.
South, West or Downtownish. Parking availability and a somewhat discrete entrance. (Not next door to a 7-11 )

I must say since I'm from east of Edmonton that I usually do not go to the west end, but Since I do usually spend 1/2 hour traveling I really do no care exactly where in the city the MP/SP is.

As far as location goes... there is no location too close or to far from me as long as it is closer than Red Deer (hell... I might even go there for the right SP)
Bottom line... Like a number of you already stated, location isn't as important as the SP I visit.Sounds like 50th street. I always stop in for a drink before my appointment. The bartender knows me by name and I josh with the regular patrons. Now even when there is a pay per view and cover charge I don't even get asked to pay. Walked up to Revive one day and cops were out back. I stopped and said hello and they were very friendly. I often see the oriental cooks outside the back door of Legends, they are always friendly too. A few more visits to Supreme and I can get my Subway card filled and maybe consider a tattoo from that new shop.
There really isn't a studio's location I don't like, just some are more convenient for me. 50th is my fave because it has THE best room of any studio, good parking, easy to get to and from, one of my favorite receptionists, I've made some friends next door and the girl I like to see works there. I can never figure out those fancy showers but you can't have everything.
The rear entrance of Penthouse usually has cooks from that Kabsa place smoking by the entrance. Revive's rear entrance smokers are usually from the bathhouse, and they always look disappointed when I go downstairs instead of up! But they're not a bother at all.
At 50th St though, the the bar's patrons smoking in front of the MP door will either keep me in my car until they're gone or I cancel my appointment and leave. I'd like to walk into the MP without getting pestered about it by some drunken yahoos (its happened).
