Personally i don't understand the appeal of blowing up expensive bombs for entertainment not to mention it's polluting, scares the bejesus out of wildlife & domestic animals and do we need more traffic downtown? I'm making a poll (hopefully it works this time :eek: ) even tho i can't vote.

VV, I agree with everything you say in your post but I will be honest, I enjoyed watching them every year.

It gave me another reason to come downtown and hang for a bit.:):D


I guess if you live DT I could see your point though.

Here, here. They're nice; I've seen them a few times, but now I stay the hell away. The West End is a goddamed mess afterwords (literally).

I totally saw this coming.

Eventually the ONLY thing left happening in Vancouver is going to be the Pride Parade.

Everything else will have been chased off by the 'no fun' brigade that Vancovuer is so famous for.

It's going to be fun watching Vanoc totally botch the Olympics and show the world what sort of city vancouver really is.
