Hmm, I was under the impression that being licenced in this city required regular STD testing. If it's not, then that's really unfortunate.
Anyways, just an FYI to those who don't know; when you go for an STD test at a clinic in Edmonton they don't test for all STD's. I'm not sure if Herpes is one that's tested for though. Keep in mind that getting an STD test done and not getting a call back does not mean you're clean; it means that you don't have the diseases that were tested for.

Btw
Thanks for calling me stupid, do you mind me asking what makes you an expert on venereal diseases? Just so you know, I have seen a girl who did have a VD infection(I knew what to look for) and I promptly ended that encounter. I was pretty pissed off to say the least. Anyone who doesn't get tested regularly is being completely disrespectful to themselves, everyone they're with and society as a whole.

There are some stds that cannot be tested for without some sort of symptom, correct? As the test itself requires, for example, an open sore for the specimen.

Anyway, I think that the mps possibly require test results as a condition for continued employment, but you would have to do a search on the licensing requirements. I don't see how the by-law folks would require confidential medical information as a condition of licensing.

Here is also something to keep in mind. I know this girl who's HIV+ and she sleeps around w/ guys w/out telling them. I know she was selling herself aswell.
I phoned the police and was met by disconcern. I really hope that dumb cunt dies soon.
Just something else to keep in mind if you're ever unfortunate enough to be infected or know someone who is. If you're HIV+, it doesn't mean it's okay to have unprotected sex w/ another HIV+ individual. Not all HIV is the same. If one person has a certain strain which has resistance to treatment A and that person is having sex w/ another person who's infected w/ a strain which is resistant to treatment B then you can end up w/ a strain which is resistant to treatments A and B.

It isn't a police matter unless you yourself are going to ask to press charges of assault or something.

The only place to "report" this is the Health authorities. You can check with your local std clinic (or equivalent) on how to go about this. Or ask the Health Nurse for info on this, I believe there was a thread where they posted the steps they can take.

When it's in the interest of public health then I'd hope they would. It's not like the girls would have to go in w/ a document that says they're infected; just if they're infected then they wouldn't reapply until they get a clean test result.

I'm pretty sure there's a law that states a person who knows they're HIV+ needs to inform there sex partner. As far as it not being a police matter, consider domestic violence. If a person beats their wife and the neighbour calls the police then the assailant can be arrested regardless of whether the wife wants to press charges or not. It's a tort against society and our socially acceptable rules. So needless to say I am thoroughly unimpressed by the police in this situation. They didn't suggest I get them in contact w/ one of these guys or anything. I wouldn't know how to reach them or else I would have anyways.

There is an area on Perb for this discussion. It is called general area sub heading health information. Health nurse would be happy to answer all your inquiries in public or by PM.

Look, there was at least one respondent who learned valuable information. Who knows how many people who didn't respond learned something too. How is this drama? I put this thread on the Edmonton forum b/c it is also pertaining to whether or not it's a local licencing requirement for girls to get regularly tested in order to be licenced here. If the moderator disagrees w/ me then they can let me know.

My only question is about EDMONTON licencing requirements. Do you think the Health Nurse knows?

Btw, don't you offer GFE Vienna? Seems you have a vested interest in my educating people.

I'll make this very clear and simple for you, okay? As far as I'm concerned, at the end of the day, YOU can only take care of YOU. Why are you so worried about everyone else who partakes in this hobby or not? I mean, I see you're trying to "educate" everyone here, however I'm pretty sure everyone including the SP's and "pooners" alike have already educated themselves on this whole topic including all the other topics relating to enjoying this hobby. ;) And if they haven't or choose not to, that's THEIR choice, not yours. ;)

Like that one guy said, there is a certain section on this board that is specifically for these topics/subjects. This section, is for REVIEWS.

Whether you choose to work in this industry as an SP or partake in the services rendered as a client, there are automatically certain risks you should be prepared for. Everyone knows this. That's why these threads are sorta becoming redundant if you will. There are many sites on the web with all the info you need. If anyone requires more info on something, that's what the HEALTH NURSE is for, as she is qualified and extremely educated to do so.

This is the wrong section for this thread and the Health Nurse should be the only one to post info, links and answer all the questions one may have on all sex related topics.

You quoted me, but you seem to have missed my question entirely and why I posted this on the Edmonton forum.
Seriously, stop flooding my thread b/c you're missing my point.(I was going to tell you this in your PM, but it's full)
So what if it's redundant? If it keeps one extra person from spreading disease to an unsuspecting partner then it's all worth while. That's why it's not a choice, but a responsibility. Thanks for letting everyone see what sort of attitude you have regarding social health.

I missed nothing at all. Why? Because I see/know what you're getting at here and like I said these "educated threads" always seem to pop up here and there every now and then. And it's always the exact same discussion/argument/conversation whatever you wanna call it. LOL So that's exactly why I missed nothing. I've seen it 1000 times before!!! lol

However, you seemed to miss my question...? Is this a REVIEW you wrote? No it isn't a review as anyone can clearly see.

This is the WRONG SECTION as I said before. Once again, WRONG SECTION for this topic.

As for your questions, who are you to me? Nobody. I don't know you so I owe you nothing. Your questions and info do not belong here. End of story.

MY question is "DOES EDMONTON REQUIRE REGULAR STD TESTING AS A LICENCING REQUIREMENT"

This thread isn't directed at you VIENNA, I'm sure you know everything already, so piss off. I asked nothing from you unless you know the answer to my question.

Hate to say it, but as for my attitude reagarding health issues, I could care less what you or anyone else thinks. I have educated MYSELF and don't need to prove what I know to you or anyone. Are you a Health nazi or something? lol Please just worry about yourself. Pretty sure everyone here are adults and are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves.

Also, I will clear my pm box for you right now so you can pm me your further concerns so we don't keep "flooding" around here. LOL

It actually doesnt require STD testing , because that would lead people to believe that sexual acts go on behind these walls :p

AND THEY DONT!!!

I think its a good idea, there are a handful of studios that do it, but I think its more of an issue for the owners of the studio, rather than the city.

This thread isn't directed at you VIENNA, I'm sure you know everything already, so piss off. I asked nothing from you unless you know the answer to my question.
That's all you needed to ask then. Why go on with this and that and "I know a girl here and there who has this and does that, so and so has aids, or I seen this SP and I could just tell with my very own eyes she MUST have herpes or something horrible, BAD BAD BAD!!!..."? Really why? It does cause drama.

In the time I've worked in this biz in Edmonton, I was never required to submit or provide regular STD testing and proof to obtain my license.

Just for future reference, ask what you want to ask rather than discussing other peoples lives and what they do or don't do.

HB40 pointed out that he did learn something new. As far as it being a personal health issue and nobody elses concern, what about the woman who married some asshole who goes out and cheats on her, catches something and takes it home to her? Stopping the spread of disease is a group effort.

There are new people on this forum all the time, just b/c you know it all doesn't mean everyone does. Even worse is having inaccurate information. I remember what I was taught in sex ed during grade school and I know some of that information was incorrect. That seemed to be HB40's situation. He thought he knew something and discovered otherwise. Please let me do my thing.

My comments about what other people do is directly correlated to my question b/c it just makes it clear to some that there is no check in place to keep individuals like that from being the next girl they see at a MP. It was for the people who will go "oh, I never looked at it that way before"
