CL, why do you boggle my mind so?

lately CL has been screwing with me, what gives? lol


as a provider....CL is kind of a last result for me. i use a few venues to run my ads. its basically numbers, CL gets your phone ringing and name out there...but not nessicarily all bookings.

i find alot of the men who call me are bargain shopping or literaly jerking off on the phone and using my ad as a free of charge sex line...ugh

I've also noticed if your CL ad is a little too explicit aka you have too much nudity or talk of money they will hold your account, if your pic is too hot other girls/crazy men will flag you or if any one has a personal grudge they may also be liable to flag on sight.


while on the subject, i have a serious CL question...

how come nearly every client i have booked off of CL shows up expecting to be able to talk me into GFE, Bareback, CIM, COF, etcetera...? i don't offer these things, i make it clear on the phone that they are not in my usual menu. my ads i run don't even have a hint of the acronyms...so what's the deal?

...and in what world is bareback anything SAFE? sorry, maybe a little redundant on the forums to bring up again.....but holyshit!!
maybe the chances of acquiring AIDS orally is lower then bareback sex. but have you forgotten that you can become infected with many other STI's in the throat? such as gonorrhea?! hepatitis?! ew! no thanks! herpes? ugh...not very attractive...not easily explained...what? are you a hobbyist of licking toilet seats in public washrooms? lol ...i don't think it would go over so well with the wife..or maybe its just me.

what really scares me is that the same clients i see off of CL or anywhere for that matter see some of these (lets not mention any names here) more open minded girls who may not even be able to speak or understand english never mind understand the reality of contracting a serious STI or AIDS and do everything in the book that could possibly exchange fluids...then come and see me and try to convince me into CIM or Barebacks...yuck!!

I'm not saying my service i offer is boring and lacking in intimacy, because its not. i know many many other ways to please & tease a man and myself without putting either of us in danger...i have lots of regulars and very low complaint list...so what gives?

also, most times i notice that the girls offering all these porn star type sessions aren't even charging extra cash. in fact they are undercutting?!
it makes me wonder if they are even consentual or aware of their worth not only as an SP but as a human being in canada?!

and my mind cant seem to stop thinking that these girls are booked all day everyday for those prices and menus. sooo if most STI rates average 1 in 4 and vancouver has the highest HIV/AIDS rates in canada...that scares the shit out of me!

I think guys do it because of the nature of craigslist. Like you said, most of the girls undercut themselves etc on there. After awhile it builds up a reputation and hence they assume you do the same.

Beautiful Anna's CL ads reflect her personality and class, making them distinctive and tasteful. Rude callers are going to think twice about calling her up, and more selective guys are going to check her out as soon as they can.

Some CL advertisers throw a pic and a phone # and that's it. It may be free but it is still a reflection of your service and attitude. Pictures are only one factor that influences the caller, so bottom line is you are going to get what you put out. Ads posted at 2 AM are going to get drunk, high and idiot callers, along with a few genuine ones.

And listing a bunch of acronyms and rates, and nekkid pics is a sure fire way to get blocked. CL goes in cycles, from what I can see. A couple of weeks of everyone being flagged, deleted and blocked, and a couple of weeks of no problems. It's not the only free site around: bcladies.net and freebcads.com are growing without an asian invasion.

Hey Misha, LOVE your honest venting. You express what many non-Asian SPs must be thinking——you even got me to do soul-searching about the wilder options sometimes offered by newcomers ignorant of the risks.

Your rant bristles with almost humorous resentment toward “more openminded girls who may not even be able to speak and understand english” and who offer “all these porn star type sessions" and "aren't even charging extra cash.”

Well, the floodgates are opened, irreversibly. From the point of view of many pooners, Asians just tend to offer a more extensive menu at less expense.

If I were a non-Asian SP wanting to compete in this market without gambling away my health, it would be clear to me that one of the following is probably necessary (apart from proper advertising and, ideally, good reviews):

•be extremely personable and warmly communicative to get repeat clientele among those who want the illusion of affection and not just sex;

•stake out a place for myself at the elite echelons of the SP pecking order by creating snob-appeal that will attract the rich (probably works only if your looks are special); or

•find a niche market by catering to one or more of the many specialized fetishes listed under the "categories" of every porn site, and then advertise this clearly.

I've had some of the most fun with women (non-asian) found on CL. Many are a little more down to earth and genuine in my opinion. Not every single encounter was a success mind you, but for the most part - very favorable.

One of the main reasons I don't frequent places like the Den as often as I used to - most of that $320/hr is just pure mark-up. The girls don't keep that amount of course, so the rest is just paying for the perception of 'class'. Same goes for the independents charging over $350/hr. I'm not a cheap guy by any means - but the onus shouldn't be on me because the provider chooses to host in an over-the-top condo downtown.

As for restrictions - it's your body - do whatever you please. I'm just using this as an example since I don't who you are or what ads you run, but don't promote "a very open-minded" session, and then get upset if guys call to ask if you do COF. If you say you offer safe-GFE or F/S only, I know right away what to expect. It's pretty obvious. But then don't call yourself "open-minded" at the same time. The ones that crack me up are the ladies that call themselves 'porn-stars' then when you talk to them, she's a nun. "Nun of this, nun of that".

CL is great! It's helped reduce SP prices. Why pay for overpriced SP's asking for 300 hr...when they are really nothing special about them?

Personally, I don't look at any other SP advertising webpages.

I never said that, all I stated is that it is more common in my personal experience for CL callers to bargain shop and/or not book or not show up or jerk off on the phone.
I get many callers from other venues who just want to ask a few questions blah blah. but there is a right and a wrong way to do these things and i find that CL enables the latter.

here are the rights and wrongs to all you callers out there interested in finding out a little info from a lovely sp.
(this advice may make your future sessions better if put into effect immediately)

the right way - fast, charming and polite - I'll be much more open and feel comfortable to chat and laugh with someone who can use their manners and ask me questions in a respectable way.
remember first impressions are everything and our first phone convo is our first impression. i am basing your entire character (of course only as much as i realistically can) off of this 30 second chat. evaluating if you are safe to book with or if your are a psycho with serious gerbil fetish. or possibly a walking and talking STI.
hey just an idea if your a funny guy, crack a joke - get a genuine giggle out of me! just because I'm a provider doesn't mean I don't appreciate a little class and charm! duh!!

the wrong way - breathing hard and shaky while asking me to describe myself (oh, and I can hear the squish squish in the background just so you know your not very stealth homeboy)! save it for the session baby listing a million dirty/naughty acts and talking money, p.s. acronyms were invented for a reason! if you know them please use them, if you don't this would be the time to use discretion.
please don't ask for a lower price - I don't recall posting an ad that says - 3bills or best offer. bargain shoppers beware - its not a negotiation! if you want a deal, I suggest calling someone who is offering services within your budget... or go to Wal-Mart i hear they keep rolling back the prices!
please dont take waaay to long to get to the point or asking the same questions over and over and over as if you are going to get a different answer the next time you ask. lol this gets redundant and annoying. i pride myself on my patience and yet this still drives me crazy!
