Im asked to help this lesbian friend of mines to have a baby. They are willing to have a blood test and legal documents guaranteeing i dont have any legal responsibilities. Wonder what's everybodys thoughts about being a sperm donor to help someone? Im seriously considering it cause it seems like hassle free plus i want to have children with no responsibility.

Depends...

It all depends on the person: if she is a good friend, you have known her for a long time and you would like to have some connection with the child when he grows, I would suggest to go for it. I am sure that you would help her out (and the child) regardless of the waive of responsibility in the papers (which is important anyway just in case someone screws up big).
If instead you don't want to have anything to do with the child or don't care less for the girl or even don't trust her, I wouldn't do it.

If I had a child with someone, I wouldn't be able to let go of that child.

Just that simple.

No matter how you think now about it now you will be attached. I don't think your friend thinks about you offering it.

You may not think much of it now man. But when the child grows up, you will. In all honesty, I couldn't handle it. My advice is still send her to a sperm bank.

She'll get to pick a great DNA line and not have to worry about anything, or you wanting custody in the future. It is win win that way.

If you do it, it could be lose lose.

Are you prepared for the fact that at some point in your life you may get a teen or adult coming to you out of the blue saying, "You are my dad and I wanted to meet you". Will your life be set up in a way that this will not cause any problems for you? Are you SURE??? Google this situation and read some of the stories and how they turned out. Not always for the best my friend.

Which head is working?

Are you sure that is the "big head" working here and not the "little head"?

Instead that the "traditional way" give her a vial with your sperm.
No harm done this way, exactly like a sperm bank, without the related costs.

What if something happens and she can no longer take care of the child at say the age of 3?

Personally, I'd love to have kids.. I'm like an old child myself and love to be with children and see their smiling happy faces.

If you are ready for that, go for it.. but know that the person you conceived will always need you. Bringing life into this world isn't as simple as you may think. You can't just fuck and then forget about it.
