Well when you consider you can get an asian girl who will do everything but greek and not be happy until you pop at least twice for $140 why do you think you're worth almost double for giving less than half the service?
I'm not trying to be insulting, you're a very attractive girl and personally I never kiss or go down on an escort but I know most guys on here are looking for that. You're totally right, no one to blame but ourselves for high prices. When I am bored at work I look at all the CL ads in other cities and it's crazy to see even in NY they ask for less than here. Someday people will smarten up hopefully.

The reason is quite simple and I'm surprised you don't understand it. The women are independent contractors who can charge what the market will bear for use of their services.
What can't you understand about that?

Let the market dictate(pun), how much a sp can get.
If an Asian sp gets 140 or 120 for good service...then that's the price. If someone else can get over 200 or more, and has clients that will pay it...then they have their market cornered.
You can't blame someone for setting their own price...if it's too much, then they'll know because of the lack of business. I'm sure in the end they will adjust their price/services accordingly.

Personally I don't want 5 or more clients in a day. This is my body and I have to live with it for the rest of my life.. and to be doing bareback for 1000$ an hour.. I'll never do it cause is it really worth the money when i end of with a disease.
