.This "hot water" we speak of refers to the wet stuff that comes out of a shower head or tap. It is the opposite of "cold water". I'm not a plumber but I believe it is controlled by a device known as a "hot water tank". To get this "hot water" turn faucet or shower control usually to the left (most times indicated by a red color).
