I'm sending my form in tomorrow. . .

Any way of getting back $1000 from the Feds is always worth the effort.

I got $1400 (combined) from the Feds and the provincial govt when I upgraded my furnace to a high efficiency one a few years ago. Any rebates to replace equipment with a an energy-efficient one (if your timing is right) is always worth it.

In both cases, I was in the market for a new furnace and a frugal city commuter.

I bought a Honda Civic last year, but it wasn't the hybird (the one elligible for the government rebate). However, about a month after getting the vehicle, I received a letter in the mail from Honda saying that because I purchased a 5-speed manual Civic, they (Honda Canada) were willing to give me the same amount as the government would for the Hybrid's eco-rebate ($2000).

Says something about the auto industry right now doesn't it? Domestic companies are closing plants, cutting jobs & reporting multi-million dollar losses. Japanese companies are sending their customers cheques :)
