Life is not supposed to come with a safety net
First, let me say that what happened to Nadia is unacceptable, unforgiveable and very sad.
But, she chose to support herself in an occupation with a lot of risks. Apparently she has done very well, up until now. I wish her the best, but the idea of asking people to help her when she knew the degree of risk involved is a bit overboard.
I, and I am sure many others, have very recently lost money in the markets. Where is there a plea to bail us out.?
Or, suppose you just lost a bundle in the casino. You took the risk and you should not expect to get a "do over". Take your losses and move on.
Or, how about the millions of Americans who have lost their homes due to the mortgage meltdown?
Hopefully, she wil get better, and if she chooses, she can get back into the business, but she must remember that there are risks and she is the one taking those risks.
All I can say to her is, "Good Luck". And, get better.
