Does any one know the legalities to this?

I've had a new client make a special request because he wants to make sure that I'm not involved with LE .

The request is that when he enters my in-call, I disrobe & have no dialog with him for about a minute. He doesn't pay me until the minute has passed .

This is the legal explanation he's given me:

LE persons cannot disrobe at anytime, it is not legal for them. Cases are based on dialog and payment. If no dialog occurs initially and you disrobe then everything is fine".
I just want to see if what he's saying is correct or nothing but bs.

Thanks in advance,

If he doubts you, then why bother? He can't trust you, I doubt you could trust him. Sorry, but that just reeks of a whole lot of SHIT

Victoria
With the bad news stories this week involving SP's (Pickton and the American arrested in Victoria for assault against 2 local sex trade workers), it seems prudent to look at requests like this as a red flag and pass on the opportunity.

We would hate to see anything happen to the wonderful ladies that provide such high level of quality service that we see on this board.

Please stay safe.

I had a street walker years ago ask me to grab her boob so she'd know I wasn't a cop...does the reverse follow?

A.U.D.R.E.Y., did the new client actually DO this, or did he only discuss the requirement on the phone? Could be that he was simply the victim of someone feeding him bad information, which happens at times, when one is concerned with getting busted in a sting operation. Still, given your website and number of reviews here, it seems more silly than dangerous to me. Just my point of view.
He discussed this with me via email. We'd sent a few emails back & forth & he booked an appointment (had to cancel) but he never brought any of this up until just recently .

When he gave me the legal spiel, I thought it might be a good idea to see if anyone on perb could confirm what he said is correct.

99.9% of the responses have said its bs.

I've had enough people (including regulars that I've trusted) take advantage of my good nature & professionalism this year, I don't need any more incidents :(.

Hi Audrey
I looked all over the net and this it what I found in all Canadian sites that I could think off.

Maybe it will help you in making a decison that you will be comforable with.

This country of ours has a lot of different laws when it comes to Escort Services, Street Workers, Bawdy Houses (and I should say hostesses, whom I think maybe you should advertise yourselves as. etc.) The bottom line, is, what I have read so far is that every thing is legal unless you do your thing in public and dinero changes hands. I could not find any law that says Police Officers are not allowed to touch, strip or bare themselves to any person to draw them into a Sting. So that is probably why they still do their thing down on Rock Bay. Not being a Lawyer myself, but I am positive that whatever the Police do it will be totally legal in the eyes of the law or they wouldn't be doing it.

By the way, I think the person that is asking you to do what he wishes is out of line and I think you should just ignore him. But, then, how will you know if he contacts you by phone and then confronts you. Just my two cents.

IANAL, but there is no law that says anything along the lines of what he claims.

Generally the law in Canada is that the police can do whatever they want so long as it does not "bring the administration of justice into disrepute" or "shock the conscience of Canadians".

For example - a cop posing as a criminal in a jail cell and getting confessions from people is over the line, but listening in on conversations in a jail cell between arrested people is not.

But in a nutshell, prostitution is legal except where it is procured in a public place (s.213 Criminal Code of Canada - note that here COMMUNICATION is illegal so it doesn't much matter if they're naked or not, you're already arrested), who procured a prostitute generally or "lives off the avails of prostitution" (s.212 CCC) or who keeps a "common bawdy house"

The purpose of these laws is generally to (a) protect women from pimps (b) most sex work off the streets and (c) to protect the public from the perceived dangers of brothels in their neighbourhood.

Long story short, you can tell your potential client that it seems that you being naked has nothing to do with it - the law doesn't care at that point, the law has already been broken by the time you communicate, or enter the house, or transfer money. If he's uncomfortable with that then he's outta luck.

Once again, I am not a lawyer - just the information I could dig up.
