I honestly think this is a growing problem - I see it in my married friends. The wife wears the pants. It's like men learn to become appeasers for the pussy - they get tired of their wife's emotional blackmail / outbursts and tantrums and they just give in.

Why this post?

Well after reading Tianna's post on "dropping in on her boyfriend" and reading the responses from some of the males in perb land, I thought some of them could use their balls back.

Here yah go.

Hope it's not too late.

Bullshit.

Women making more money in their 20s compared to men in their 20s? Where did that blogger get his intel? You cant compare different jobs either. Of course a female in her 20s that works in...lets say advertising(pick any job that is mid-high salary) is going to make more money than a male in his 20s working at McDonalds. However, if you compare the same job, male to female, more often than not, the male is going to make more money. Look at fortune 500 companies....male CEO's, VP's and all those other top jobs. Women are getting better and higher paying jobs than they were able to 10, even 5 years ago. Top corprate jobs? Nope.

Im going out on a limb here, but I will assume you are not married.

Back in the 50's and early 60's before feminist movements, when a man was "the man" he went to work while the woman had babies, cleaned the house, cooked etc etc, the woman still wore the pants. No one gets under the skin of a man more than his wife.

Guys might like to act tough around friends, and on the jobsite, but when its just him and his old lady, she owns his ass. I don't care what generation you're from, it's been like that since we were all living in caves.

Pussies?

I was thinking, "Well, I am on PERB, aren't I?" until I realised the title did not refer to females. lol.

If they are just acting tough, of course they get owned. In the end though, nobody can own you unless you allow yourself to be owned. But it would be interesting to know the source of your prehistoric data.

No one owns me, and I don't care to own anyone. And I am happy with this arrangement.

a lot of my prehistoric data is from personal experience.

Ever have a plan with a buddy, lets say going to a pub to play some pool, ruined for some obviously made up excuse? You can thank his old lady for that. I should also mention that im not talking about "new" relationships either. If you have been with a girls for a few months, she is still your girlfriend, not your old lady. Girlfriends come and go, and you're right, at this point, you're not owned unless you allow yourself to be owned. Once that ring goes on your finger, she does own you, even if you don't realize it. My wife is the only person that knows me better than I know myself.

You ever have a conversation with your wife without even speaking a word? I have, and im pretty sure I didnt come out on the winning end.

Would you kill for your wife? I'd kill for mine, not only would I kill, but i'd chop them into little pieces.

How many single guys do you know that own a 7 figure home on a 40 year mortgage?

Maybe ownership is the wrong word. Dependence is more accurate. Either way, she runs the show once that ring is on.

I see it too but im not sure if it's all about pussy, there has to be more to it than that.

A man can get pussy everyday if wants too, nostrings attached.

Why put up with a person that is making your life miserable and probably isnt fucking you anyway when all you have to do is pick up the phone to get some?

I think its more about the fear of losing everything including their kids if they dare stand up for themselves, after all the legal system isnt exactly pro male when it comes to matrimonial/custody issues.

Well said DWB......it is more than that imo...but not much,

as guys get more experiance they realize (too late I suspect) men don't have to put up with continually unraveling the "balls of string" women throw at them to keep them busy. Women want their men busy doing mostly things for them. Remember Tie Domi? the shopping Sherpa? How many times have you gone shopping with your lady and wound up being the coat or purse holder?
Did they ever go with you to the tackle shop and hold your stuff without complaint..probably never. I guess my point is women are a bit like children..all over the map. I suggest when men refuse to let them get away with tantrums or irresponsible actions in your relationship..no matter how hot they are...you will find a woman who respects you.

Not even sure this relates anymore..took to long to write..just my rant I guess..but guys..."man up" in a positive way.

Surely you don't mean to generalize all women as being a certain way. That would be sexist. You must mean a specific type of woman. Because not all women are the same, and not all women treat their male partners badly.

I didn't read Tianna's thread of the link, but I agree that most guys are pussies when it comes to women and relationships. at times, I'm ashamed to be a male.

Im interested to know how many of these guys that are quick to call other guys pussies are actually married themselves. Its takes a lot more than just getting what you want in order to make a marrige work. Always getting what you want is for babies, not men. It's not easy, and yes, for some guys, the headaches of marrige are greater than the pleasures. For the guys that put the effort into making a marrige work, they know how hard it can be, it's the complete opposite of being a pussy...

No...not all of them. Clearly my experiances are mine alone. Having been married and divorced, with several long term relationships and dating inbetween and watching my friends and their lives over several decades
I am frankly appalled at the actions and irresponsible behavior that women
seem to get away with...with their men.

not all....in the same way that not all men are jerks.

My rant has it's roots in the male bashing that has gone on for the last 30+ years in all media (not all undeserved) with the men remaining silent. A few years ago a trip to the "Gender Study's" section of a large local book store revealed over 500 titles about women and their wants, needs, complaints etc. and only one about men (Iron John). While not a conclusive point why are men so silent about what they think?

Further, why do men accept what amount's to disrespect from their women.
Maybe it's the money, I can't believe it's just about pussy. If it is that's pathetic.

(to "shocked"....that's a pretty strong reaction to a relatively benign point)

I dont think its about pussy or money. Men can have both without ever being married. Its about love and dependence.

Ever own a dog? Most people have. I hate comparing men and dogs, but for this point it works out. If you have a dog, you can beat it, tease it, torment it...anything. It will still be loyal to you, it knows where its food comes from, and it knows its place. It depends on you, even if you are a low life scumbag.

A wife isnt so different. Hopefully you have a wife that doesnt abuse your dependence, and the love is equal between you both. We all know that isnt the case all the time, but that's what a man should be looking for.

Im not saying its just men that are "victims" of dependence either. There are countless amount of abusive husbands out there. Im sure we have all seen news clips that show an abused woman. The first question I always find myself asking is, "why didnt she just leave him?" That question has the same answer....dependence and love.
