Amidst all the talk of Legends being for sale, and the discussion on the success and failure of management of studios as Sinderella; Fantasy: MMC: 50st;Suupreme and Penthouse. Does the physical location of the studios contribute to the success of the studio?
If so, is there a concensus as to the best location?

I don't think location has anything to do with it. Legends is in an iffy but gentrifying area of town, while the now-legendary Fantasy was in a highly visible strip mall with Baseline Road and fast-food joints out front and a residential area out back. Supreme shares its space with a busy Calgary Trail and a popular Malaysian restaurant. Temptations is located in the worst area of the Stony Plain Road strip. Penthouse is on a busy stretch of Jasper Ave.

The primary concern with any MP location is discretion and safety. The MP should have a back door so that the whole world doesn't witness you coming and going, and the area should be reasonably secure enough for both you and your vehicle.

What really matters most is the management and the girls working there.

After location, it's the girls (their looks+attitude+service) that matters and an enlightened management that will look after their interests and not burn them out by squeezing as many appointments for them in one day. . .that's a sure-fire formula for burn out.

In my own imagination!!
Location is important.............

.............However in my case I don't care about front or back door but my friends, relatives and SO are mostly not in Edmonton. Anyways I am not ashamed to be seen walking into an mp(not that other people here are??) Just sayin. As for car safety well I have an alarm and it can be broken into anywhere in the city so I take precautions everywhere?? IMO

The question is....

Does the physical location of the studios contribute to the success of the studio?
If so, is there a consensus as to the best location?[/QUOTE]

I am assuming this question is directed at the clients so,
yes I do consider location in my selection. I would not consider a studio that was near a restaurant, or retail business, if it didn't have alternate entry to keep some discretion (privacy)for a visitor. I understand there is always the possibility you may run into someone either coming or going out of the studio, but if it is high volume traffic around, I will not keep visiting.

Secondly, while the client's needs are considered, the ladies work environment should also be safe with ample lighting, exits and procedures when coming or leaving from their shifts. Same practices any business should employ for their workers safety.

For me, an industrial location for a studio is good, since the traffic is not general public, more trades people, driving around going about their business, and for the safety of the staff, there would be little if any street people or bar traffic etc lurking around to harass or cause disturbance.

Just my thouhgts.

some of the oldest studio's around(and sometimes the greatest gems to be found), have not alot of privacy, like the cove(used to be stressbusters, besides cowboys), swedishtouch(across from safeway/goodwill/tiger),xtc by McDonalds, passions(southern comfort at the argyl plaza) cloud 9(elite by St. Petes, lube city) or what about 99th street right in the middle of the strip mall besides the daycare!!!, or what about velvet touch(relax nation/pat's tanning) in the apartment complex??, if you don't want to be seen at a certain location, don't go there, "get a room!!!( on the lot clip!! great short movie!!!)

is the key. Of course, girls that you WANT to visit and a good management are as important (if not MORE) as well.

Just on a side note, the old Fantasy location is going to be rubble starting in January. Rexal has bought the strip mall out and is going to be torn down in January to make way for a Rexal pharmacy and clinic. The fast food joints however were not bought out and will stay. Fantasy will be truly legendary as it will only exist in our memories...especially the ones with Melanie and Ariel in them.

Is someone hinting that Supremeand Penthouse have problems with management? If you read this, the poster mentions Legends being for sale (which we know), and then a list of other MP's that have closed.

What's the intel on Supreme and Penthouse?

Curious !

I think Supreme . . .

is doing just fine (with their current lineup) and as far as PH is concerned - the 'stars' have left the studio and there seems to be no one left there worth visiting - they (i.e. management/owners) seem to have a problem keeping and attracting good talent to the studio (at this moment, anyway).

Penthouse was one of the top studios in town when it was first opened by one of Nick Lysyk's girls, then managed by Krissy (now at Prestige) followed by Gina (now at Supreme). It's been on a downward slide since then.

Has supreme ever even traded ownership? It must be busy as I never see any of thier girls come and post here saying how they are cold and need guys to come into the studio. Maybe the girls at supreme know how to use the thermostat.

I think she's got one foot in Vancouver already. . .

I never see any of thier girls come and post here saying how they are cold and need guys to come into the studio. Maybe the girls at supreme maybe just know how to use the thermostat.
so I figure she hasn't found the thermostat yet (maybe there isn't any - it'll come after the new sign goes up) or figured out how to close the windows. . . JK ;)

Supreme and Passions ownership

I've heard and - who knows it might be true,
that Leah of Supreme is the brains behind both outfits.

If she is - she knows EXACTLY what she's doing.
Two of the top five in Edmonton and within blocks of each other!

As for location - I've always thought back door was important;)

It's no secret that Leah is the owner of Passions and that her and Sandy are co-owners of Supreme. No real secret there. Years ago, they also co-owned a studio downtown (Sorry, I forgot what it was called) before it burned down.

Head to Toe...It had a fire but it didn't burn down - just fire damage and I don't know what happened next. I remember seeing Gabrielle there when she first started in the business. . .

It was in retail space on the main level of an apartment complex about 110 street and 99 ave. Fire started with a candle. I thing (but do not know for sure) that there were some insurance issues. That was when Sandy and Gabrielle moved south. The saddest part was Sandie's dog being lost in the fire.
