I'll be travelling to the Vancouver area in a week and would like some suggestions from members on good hotels - both for business and pleasure, if you know what I mean?
I think the SP's would have more info than most of us pooners. Most pooners don't go to local hotels.I'll be travelling to the Vancouver area in a week and would like some suggestions from members on good hotels - both for business and pleasure, if you know what I mean?

fully secured:Do any of the downtown hotels from the major chains (Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, Westin, etc...) NOT require card key access to their elevators?
Agreed. I've always liked the Century Plaza. Always good prices. Admittedly, I haven't been there for about a year, but when I was last there, they had reno'd the lounge and changed the pub into a nice restaurant/lounge. A friend of mine was there a few nights ago and complained that the room he was in was "old" in style and look, especially the kitchenette. Of course, you're there for the bed and not the kitchenetteIf you are downtown and do not want to pay a lot, I would recommend the Century Plaza, discreet and a pretty good deal for your money!
