Yes I did try to see Logan yesterday and although she was out of my way I wanted to see her. I'm not going to tell explain what happened from my end since I already did that with her and we're all cool.

I just want to say I'm no wacko!! When I mention to her PERB it was not to intimidate her but to show her I was part of that community and known for my respectful reviews. In retrospect, perhaps I should have PM her through PERB to set up an appointment then maybe she would not have been as suspicious of me as she is with an unknown CL caller, who knows?

I do want to touch the point of privacy from the pooner's point of view. I have nothing to hide per say but my privacy is of utmost importance to me. I know there are pooners who don't care and even willing to leave message and their number from ads on CL but I think they are crazy. That's why I would never go to a MP for privacy reasons. I see indie ladies exclusively, I prefer the more personable rapport and I know this person is not enslaved. With that comes risks too. I've been ripped off a bunch of times as I TOFTT regularly, even with someone who's been reviewed I've had bad experiences.
Call me paranoid but you never know who is waiting for you in that appartment too, a cute girl and a her biker boyfriend with a baseball bat?

Don't get me wrong I realize this is a crazy world we live in and I appreciate the ladies for being brave enough to offer their services. I believe where they advertise is also crucial. An ad on CL with pictures will generate a lot of attention from a wide range of people while a printed ad in GS in Bodywork for instance will likely cater to a more desirable clientele. You have to pay for it and might get less calls but perhaps you can breathe a little easier when that stranger comes knocking. (And no I don't work in GS classified section!)

If you use your own IP address in emails you may as well use your own cell phone. Your IP address is recorded and billed by your provider in the same way your telephone and cell numbers are. The info is a little harder to get but certainly not rocket science.

I'm going to disagree with this. Buddy said that he was coming. He didn't. She could have booked another person. She calls to make sure someone is going to show up. If he couldn't show up, all he had to do was call her and tell her. I'm sure people cancel on service providers all the time. They should at least have the courtesy to call. If they don't, I don't think it's out of the question for the sp to call and see what's up.

i've had the opportunity of meeting some great guys here on perb. my reputation has been dragged through the mud, more times than one. and still a few of you took a chance to see if these accusations were true, i thank you for that. however.....i won't be backed into a corner by a perbert throwing his weight around. it's not fair. today i recieved a call by a gentleman by the name of felix. he called from an unblocked number so i booked the appointment for 1:00. well when 1:00 came he didn't call back from that number so i called him to see if he was still coming, turns out it's his work number, so i quickly hang up. in the meantime i'm getting a continuous call from a blocked number so finally i answer it's felix "i've been calling and your not answering!" i explain i don't answer blocked calls, he says he's running late. fine. 5min later he calls again, i answer and ask him, when you booked your appointment you called from a reg number, why are you calling blocked now? he says his phone does it automatically and he doesn't know how to unblock it. i explain that i called his work number back and hung up. i also tell him for security reasons he should call from a number that comes up but i'll see him anyway. he gets an attitude "well i didn't waste my time driving all the way up here, you know where i work" yes i agree i know where you work but i don't know if your name is really felix. girls have been hurt very badly and even killed in this situation, i explain, i'm not trying to be a bitch i will let you up but in the future you have to unblock the number and when you get upstairs please call my phone in front of me so i can see your phone just does that. i give him the directions and the buzzer code. 5 min later me and my girlfriend see him on camera looking up her name in the apartment directory. then he walks off, gets in his car (that i can see from the window)and drives away. well that was weird i thought so just to peek my curiosity i call the work number and ask for felix....well of course no felix works there. almost 20 min later he calls from the work phone and i quote " i'm quite well known on perb and i'm pissed about the blocked number. i went an hour out of my way" i asked him why he didn't just buzz up? he said he thinks he had the wrong buzzer and his phone died. he's upset about the blocked number issue and i'm trying to explain when he initially booked he didn't have a blocked number so why would i explain no blocked numbers at that point? if you've been on perb along time wouldn't you know girls don't answer blocked calls? and you say you went an hour out of your way but you were back on your work phone within 20mins? why is it ok for you to know what i look like, where i work from, and my phone number, but i can't have something to know who you are before i invite you in? especially with girls getting beaten and raped? i don't use your number for any other purpose but to make sure i'm safe while your visiting. you then threaten me with perb? he gave me his handle but i won't stoop to his level and power trip to ruin his name on here. just want you guys to know. i'm human, i bleed like you bleed. and just like you guys, i take precautions. please respect that.

This person did as directed in phoning you initially from an unblocked number. To anyone with half a brain that would constitute affording you some element of his identity.

In case you hadn't figured it out by now, in your long time on PERB, the idea of phoning SP's from an unblocked number is for the sake of identification in the event that something happens to you. It is not (I repeat NOT) for you to play with the telephone and dial the workplace (no less) of a PERB denizen whom you've never even met!!

The biggest thing in your report here that "isn't fair" is your obvious discrimination against people who don't own cell phones.

If you get a call on a random day from someone named "Leonid", and the call originates from The Kremlin, and Leonid asks if he can see you at 2:00pm, and you agree:

(A) You know the origin of Leonid's call

(B) Leonid knows that you know the origin of his call

(C) Nobody else with whom you've not spoken is going to turn up at 2:00 by accident (so a reasonable person knows this will be Leonid)

(D) IF the unthinkable happens, and you're never heard from again, there are documented records which establish from where that call came in. The police would have easy access to these records and could pinpoint that indeed it was the red line in the Kremlin from which the earlier call initiated. They would then go to the Kremlin and poll the various people there. Nikita and Mikhail and Josepf would have been in a meeting at 2:00pm - together. Raisa, the young hottie down in accounting would have no motive to have made any appointment with you, and they would eventually pinpoint just who made that call, even if Leonid told you his name was Felix.

So far there is just no scenario what so ever in which it was right for you to phone the business of a could-be client you've never even met - twice no less!

In the future, you might do well to rig your safety precautions so that someone who is genuinely interested in seeing you, and fully cooperative with, and understanding of your right to these safety measures, can phone you once from a disclosed number, and then either (a) dial you from a pay phone near to your incall (blocked number - heaven forbid!) or (b) simply come to the apartment and buzz the appropriate room.

Your actions on this one are just wholly inappropriate and uncalled for.

P.S. Yes, it is your right to do whatever and whomever you want, with your body, but don't try to pin it on "unfairness" on the part of others when it is your own irresponsibility that is to blame for the story you told.

To be honest I don't know what the fuss is with blocked numbers simply because you can get a prepaid phone and still be anonymous. Also, authorities can easily access phone records and check the anonymous callers number if anything were to happen.
