I saw a couple of ladies over the years that were into investing. This made the visit more interesting to me although I didn't pick up any good ideas the conversation was interesting. The last one was a Korean that was into day-trading. Unfortunately, she moved on so perhaps she knew a thing or two about investing/gambling. Currently no contacts that check this box. Anyone else share this interest or have any suggestions?

I knew one provider who was seriously into real estate and who owned 2 properties in Vancouver and a four-plex in Edmonton. Very bright young woman. She retired shortly afterwards.

A while back, I met a semi-retired asian SP who was a UBC chemistry grad and she told me she bought a house near where I live. She rented a condo for her work. I think she is fully retired now.

Sure. However, I met one in London UK that urged me to buy London flats several decades ago. She is likely a multi-millionairess now.

Well i'm sure she made money but that was decades. I'm talking about in the USA where fast food workers would be flipping houses and condos on 0% down, super low rate mortgages and then the whole thing crashed.

If you bought in Vancouver decades ago you'd be a millionaire too but the housing market has stalled since covid.

The best over view I can suggest is reading all of the Berkshire Hathaway annual reports that were written by Warren Buffet.
