Some people prefer to remain anonymous when they choose not to recommend someone because they're concerned about potential negative consequences or retaliation (so maybe you don't appreciate anonymity enough.) Ilanus, Dundas, and TrideandTide all have good reputations (I certainly respect their opinions), and they're all saying they got the intel from a reliable source. Not only that, a fourth person (Gocanucks1) has confirmed that information via other PMs from other people. Based on that, it's up to you to decide whether you trust them. However, accusing four different people, who don't appear to be connected, of deliberately spreading false information seems a little too aggressive and, if you ask me, borderline disrespectful.

I'm fine with second hand info, That is EXACTLY what we do on this board.

The insinuation of slander is ridiculous. I'll stick to what I said and what info was given to me. Their details and i prefer not to out them out of respect. Many of us talk privately, some of us don't, much like SPs. If you dont like what was said, here, go see for yourself. I believe I have given good information on this board repeatedly, and so has the person who told me to stay away. I will pass that info as I see fit. Take it for what its worth to you.

• my goal with the post was that I'm repeatedly seeing posts on here that are "reviews" with no real information. Those have limited value for helping others which is the whole point of this board. Maybe you disagree, which is fair, y'all are entitled to your own opinion, but I thought it worth calling out that "hey my buddy said <so and so> was terrible" isn't really in the spirit of what I think this board is for.
