Hey providers, I think you have more to offer here than the clueless speculations of clients. It is a common experience to contact a provider and get crickets. Mind you, this is after client does due diligence scrutinizing posts: yes post active, yes preferred contact method followed, yes all requested info offered. I am careful that less is more in this first message. The message is bare bones but includes everything the escort has asked in her posts. I quote from a blog: Aside from paying careful attention to the communication requests a provider makes, it helps to be friendly, polite, and considerate in your messages. Be brief, to the point, and don’t include anything the provider doesn’t ask for. Do not include any graphic descriptions, or request any information that is already provided on the worker’s profile! If in doubt, or if you can’t find any booking instructions, send your potential provider a polite message that includes a brief hello, your first name, and when you are looking to see them. It might look a little something like this: “Hello [provider name], my name is [your name] and I’m looking to make a 2 hour booking for the afternoon of the 5th of June if you are available. Thank you.”

The question is whether it is verboten to send another wuz up did u get my message? After how much time? Now this may seem a no brainer, but there is a lot at stake. My personal experience is that it does no good to send another message or change to a different mode to resend such as email. I have never gotten a response at this point.
Well of course client and provider both have a life. Independent providers in my observation don’t have a scheduling secretary to help. Lo and behold, it has been a day, and a provider had a demanding overnight client. Or maybe she was watching the World Cup and time got away. Now a provider sees a new message and assumes the client must have made other plans after this much time. Why reply to a client that is going to schedule with some other provider anyway? Maybe that becomes standard etiquette.
Me personally, I always appreciate a reply at any interval: Gee I missed your message, Or sorry this doesn't work out (no explanation needed). Maybe I wanted incall morning and that doesn’t fit a provider’s school schedule, and she is no longer able to host incall, and even though she hadn’t changed her online post, she decided to offer outcall after 5 pm exclusively. Well, learning that through a message is better for me. But I can understand that it seems hopeless when the provider knows I can’t be accommodated within the scheduling window I offered. To maximize discretion and safety for both provider and client, every decision to hit send becomes a risk benefit equation. I get it, but a future client is lost.
Here’s the rub. I don't know whether the escort read something into the intro message. Maybe she saw a red flag that was unintended. Maybe she had a gut feeling. Maybe she is having a bad day. Maybe she froze when she was ready to hit send. What is the bewildered client to do? He naturally goes into “there are more fish in the sea” mode. Then he removes the provider from favourites and contacts and moves on. Something that could have been very beautiful didn’t happen. The dance of scheduling messages has ended.
I do appreciate the perspective providers have on this matter. Equally a dilemma for provider and client. How can the client best communicate with provider?

I posted this in the wrong part of perb.cc initially, so it was deleted, and now I am reposting after a few days. With getting back on track messaging a new provider at this point, I have a bit of perspective. But clients writing off potential providers seems unnecessary. By the way, this problem was exactly the same before the Internet existed in the last millenium when the client had to call up an independent escort on a phone.
The key to dealing with failure to get a response to scheduIing/introductory message is to follow respectful etiquette in the messaging on my end. I am reminded that in my professional life people sometimes react unexpectedly. So long as I consistently showed respect and treated every person the way I would like to be treated if I were in their role, then I know the occasional unexpected reaction was not caused by what I did. Most of the time it wasn’t even about me.
I am not asking for sympathy (no one in the forum thought that for an instant). At the time I posted the thread I had hit a stretch 0 replies from 3 escorts over 6 days (trying to schedule with 2 weeks advance notice). Each time, it is hard for me not to feel a loss when I think of something beautiful that didn’t happen. More importantly, I have written off 3 escorts during one week that I am never going to contact again.
