Ex Machina, porn profiling on individuals

I would be curious here what people think of the notion of porn profiling as portrayed in the movie Ex Machina (which I watched again not too long ago)... How people's searches, website visits is being used to market something right back at us... maybe even highly individualized...the technology is there...

I did an experiment a number of years ago of no getting off period for several months and no stimulants, spices,. Alcohol, drugs or even added salt during that same time also... Perhaps the only time I have done this and hard for the first few weeks but got easier over time. I noticed a much heightened state of awareness during that period, much clearer head and senses really sharpened... First time having sex after this really had me see just how much it is like a drug... Salt was even the same way... Later on I learned that wild animals can be domesticated with salt (it dulls the senses...farmers will put a hunk of salt on a fence post called a salt lick and it has a calming effect on animals that lick it)... I am inquiry now for myself if constant sex or getting off to porn isn't sort of the same in a way...

It's very easy for men to put themselves into a prison:

Get a job. Either you don't go to university and have a low paying job, or, go to university and have a ton of debt.

Pay for shelter, which is expensive.

Watch porn, pay for OF for the "connection". Paying sex workers can fall into this too.

Play video games for the fantasy and escape.

Order food via food delivery apps.

Doomscrolling.

Gamble, because that's the only way to potentially hit it big.

Result: a generation of men who are alone, isolated, broke and depressed.

I was watching a good video with a woman ... Probably not too many here have ever heard of her but I think people will eventually be talking about her the same way they talk about Michelle Obama, Joan of Arc, Audrey Hepburn ... Even if people did not understand them at the time or they were able to see things others cannot...And I wouldn't be surprised if documentaries are made about her life in the future... I remember when Elon Musk came around far before Tesla was big, listening to him talk and a visionary back then - thinking at the time, he is going to change the world...I get the same vibe from her even though most watching her might not be able to grasp what she says (and took repeated viewings and hearing different things each time)...

She has some good book recommendations on porn as an "engineered phenomenon" I am just starting to look at...

There also was a really interesting thing she said in one of her videos is how we are all responsible for and participants of what show up in our reality...and perhaps the hardest thing to say "yeah I am responsible for my part in creating the world I live in" versus being a victim... I can see my own role in this contributing to what comes back to me in the "echo chamber"

I don't think I was all that domesticated as a kid. I remember licking the salt block, too.

As far as dulling the senses, it did nothing to the pain I felt when the cow head-butted me out of her salt block. She didn't seem very calm at all.

How you discover this is stopping with salt for a period of time like one or two months and coming back to it .... You will see things you never saw before ... Same thing with stopping getting off (either with yourself or with a woman)...for a period of time like one or two months...which resets something in the body ...when going back, you will notice things you did not see before when getting off all the time...
