This was as much agony as Falcons up 28-3, or Anaheim losing 4 straight games 7s at home, or Detriot blowing up against the 49ers in the playoffs.

I think my biggest beef is taking out a guy who hit a grand slam game 1 and has a cannon of a defensive arm. He is a MLB outfielder, these guys are fast enough. I have never seen a MLB outfielder not havie fast running ablity to earn that spot and the coach snubs him in for a pinch runner who when at bat is pretty much an automatic out.

Springer was done, Bo was done, Kirk was done, you needed anyone who could end a game with one swing. He took out all the muscle for .5 faster to a base.

He was also out of positional players. One injury and then what - put a starting pitcher in to play the outfield?

The third and fourth string here will banter about what was and was not done but one thing was sure, what an epic baseball game! And Freeman, another Canadian brings it when needed, just like last year.
Re the Jays pulling all the bats, well fuck if I know really what strategy the Jays wanted. Didn't work. Just hope whatever Springer did can be fixed sooner than later.
Re Jays bullpen, pretty impressive really.
Re walking Ohatani, FUCK yeah, why pitch to that mutherfker who can hit pretty much anything out of the park.
I see it as both teams will be exhausted for today's game. Last guy standing kind of thing might win it.
Morning line has LA at -200

There should be a rule that you can't intentionally walk any player more than once in a game.

Let the fans see the best hitters, and make managers use some strategy.
they could put that rule in and the pitcher would just throw 4 pitches outside the strike zone, an "unintentional" intentional walk.

by strict definition a must-win game is when it's lose-and-go-home but I had the feeling last night was must-win for the Jays...face Ohtani tonight, most likely it's 3-1 in games and will Snell be subpar two games in a row?
If the Jays get a split to force a Game 6 they''ll face Yamamoto...you might remember him from Game 2, retired the last 20 Jays. And I think, with him, lightning Can strike twice.
Still, it's sports and as Yogi said, ""it ain''t over til it''s over

So what you're saying is...the Jays don't have a chance. :ROFLMAO:

You don't know baseball. They still would have to throw the 4 balls. Pete Rose, among others sometimes got hits from those intentional walks.

And someone is going to try to swing at balls well out of the strike zone?
Much less chance of getting a hit.
It's not me who doesn't know baseball, lol.

Seems like superman's kryptonite is named Guerrero!
I have the feeling the Jays really need to beat Snell again tomorrow cuz Game 6 will be against Yamamoto.
Maybe I overestimate him but he's had 2 overpowering performances recently.
Game 5 tomorrow, go Jays!

Really impressive effort - full team effort by the Jays.
Maybe ...
