Absolutely true. I’d hope every person has the forethought to keep safety in mind when signing up and doesn’t use their own information. I went with the bare bones of profession or industry for discretion, and find it interesting how often I’m asked for my real name, my gym, etc, in ongoing intervals, but messaging for professional services is putting the men at risk……

It is indeed. With that said, we are not without consequence given we develop and maintain an alternate identity (so we aren’t followed home by that 1%, or encounter professional stigma/termination at conventional employment (let alone endangerment if fleeing an abusive situation). It is in every ladies best interest to not have her info revealed as well, and she should be the guardian of your personal info if you do give it. Not every provider is and that is a crying shame for both sides. I will always view and make decisions with it as a “You protect me, I don’t protect you” type of thing.
