Not exactly my favorite guitarist out there, but still sucks that another one is gone.

Kiss were fantastic live.
It seems he died from a rather minor fall, he got a brain bleed and that killed him.

I remember way back as an undergrad at UAlberta one of the social events in the top floor of the students union building, this band was playing, full on makeup, you name it. Kiss before they had any kind of a name out there. Crazy show, awesome guitar work and raw rock as I vaguely remember mind you I am pretty sure everyone there was chemically enhanced. Never got to see them live again. Thanks for everything Mr. Frehley.

U of A. That's what you call hitting the road and paying your dues.

Add in the fact it was a top floor of the Student Union Building - think a small sized high school gym floor and really cheap beer.
In November if I remember it correctly but not sure. Anyway, really early in the lives of Gene Simmonds et al.

I went out with a girl who was going there in 1970 and attended a few Saturday night dances with live bands in that same room. I am guessing.

I quaffed a few in that room during my days at the U of A. Must have been something to see Kiss there. 👍

Ace Frehleys guitar solos were always the single best thing about the entire group . Simple yes but catchy , I would catch myself humming the solos more so than the actual song growing up .

After he and Peter criss left, the band pretty much went to shit and became way below mediocre . Although the ship had already begun sinking as far as their direction , everything after Dynasty was downhill , so they bailed ship at the right time .

Rip, love him or hate him , just as all well known musicians , brought so many much happiness.

Kiss never would have become famous if it wasn’t for Ace Frehley.
Hard stop .

Their first album & destroyer remain their best studio albums, or you could just listen to the first Alive album , the best thing they ever released .

Aside from from Paul Stanley’s voice Ace Frehley was definitely the most stand out “musician” in the band .

Imagine how many kids and tweens picked up their first guitar because of Ace Frehley , the number would be mind blowing .
