are you talking about the Clintons or the Cheneys or Obamas
All politicians have all a pretty healthy ego and attention seeking personality but none of those you mentioned have a full on narcissistic and sociopathic personality. Cheney would rank high on the sociopathic scale if i would have to guess. Bush Junior was going along for the ride after Cheney's manipulative procedures....he wanted revenge for his nation and for his daddy one term demise which blinded his perspective I think...not excusing the mess and mentality it generated in the US following his
2 mandates.

That aside ...nice witty repartee ! 😁

So to recap just a few weeks in American GOP politics:

Affordable and inclusive health care? Fuck ‘em, let's cut medicare for the most vulnerable.

Clean air and water? Fuck ‘em, let’s roll back decades of protection and regulation and let industry poison people again like the good old days.

Todays instalment of the “Help Americans die younger” agenda ??

Potentially Life saving research? Fuck ‘em, let the Whack Job in charge of health policy go against every real scientist who knows what they’re talking about.

Greislane Maxwall appeal pending before Supreme Court. Rumors are swirling President Donald Trump may pardon her in exchange for information about his political enemies.
Maxwell was moved from federal prison in Florida to a cushier, lower-security camp in Texas after her DOJ interview.

A potential pardon would give Maxwell every incentive to clear Trump’s name - which is what she did, according to a Wednesday report from ABC News.

Assuming the Iranians didn't frag Jeff's ass just for kicks a few weeks back.

Because Ghislaine ran the prostitution ring as she began (or was given it) before she even met Jeffrey. She also really wasn't running a blackmail operation. It was a service. You can't blackmail billionaires and intelligence officials because they have ways of dealing with those kinds of annoyances. Permanently.
Jeffrey Epstein was a money launderer, and THAT'S why Trump and his friends need to keep a lid on the Epstein files. Nothing to do with the girls.

What part of uniparty don't you understand. They are all in it. I bet they won't ever bite each other for this one.

Me:
Considered saying Maxwell can have her pardon and Trump’s enemies will incriminate Trump if there's anything to incriminate. The rest of us can move on to something more important such as the economy and good health. But so much more to uncover.

American Association of Pediatricians

The AAP’s priority list ignores diet and reducing levels of physical activity while actively promoting medicalization, seemingly oblivious to the quite catastrophic reduction in health status of the very populations they claim to be serving.

The only interest expressed in vaccines is to remove choice from those concerned about such things, and force compliance. For a society of thinking, truth-seeking people this would be extraordinary.

If they get their way, we will return further toward an approach we thought we had fought wars to overcome.

Lengthy article. Only skimmed over.

...official report from the Department of Energy. Released earlier this week, the report cancels the decades-long censorship imposed by so-called ‘settled’ climate science.

The biggest problem (apart from using computer models) is the lack of past data on extreme weather events. A few years of data allied to an unproven conviction that all current warming is caused by humans, cannot provide guidance for events that crop up as outliers.

If paleoclimate reconstruction are considered, “it becomes very difficult for an event to pass thresholds of what is expected from natural variability”, it is concluded.

You know that thing about sci-fi disaster movies where the boys (and girls) in power ignore the scientist?
Yup. In real time too.
The $500M cut from the budget for the science developing next gen vaccinations just got axed by a fuckwit who according to Wikipedia was/is a drug dealer and drug abuser.
Fits the general mold of the Whitehouse Admin doesn't it.

Net Zero to me:
Means my house is well insulated and provides its own power, without me drawing from BC hydro's power grid. And it should be built to withstand natural disasters like tsunamis and earthquakes.

PS for any type of "end of world senario", making a defensive lines around you house is frowned on. I would suggest you watch the last Rambo movie to get ideas. Best idea is stealth. Don't let anyone know about it.

...market watchers are salivating for rate cuts. But rates should be higher, not lower—and in a free market, they would be.

In a free market, interest rates are determined by the supply and demand for credit. Savers provide capital (supply) while borrowers like businesses, consumers, and governments create demand. Rates would reflect the real cost of capital. They would balance risk, inflation expectations, and real economic conditions.

Instead, we trust a small handful of individuals with full implied mastery of an infinitely complex system with endless interdependent factors that even they admit they don’t fully understand. It’s absolute madness when this same system, left to its own devices, would self-correct on its own if we allowed it to. In that self-correcting system, rates would be drastically higher than they are now.

All central planning does is distort markets by trying to override the natural order in favor of the preferred reality of bankers, bureaucrats, politicians, and academics.

The prevailing popular sentiment always seems to be that we can just make the economy great by declaring lower interest rates and printing money...

Artificially low rates incentivize borrowing, discourage saving, and misallocate capital into speculative ventures. The asset bubbles and malinvestment can take years to unwind, which then leads to calls for even more intervention. That’s the cycle we’re seeing now, and the one we see over and over.

It’s hard to imagine a Fed Chair, or president, who would be willing to publicly encourage this kind of reset.

Back at the turn of the century the markets looked to be doing the right thing. The Great Financial Crisis came along in 2007 and didn't go away. Cries to "End the Fed".

A least understood issue right now, is how isolated and alone Tulsi Gabbard is on her mission to bring sunlight to the Intelligence Community weaponization and corruption.

…”There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things”…

The Intelligence Community uses various media leaks and narrative engineers as the tools against their enemy; in this case Director of National Intellignce Tulsi Gabbard.

What has them so upset is Tulsi’s release of the House Intel report. This is the report that drove the FBI to raid Mar-a-Lago in an effort to retrieve it from Trump. This is the report that outlines how the CIA fabricated the Russiagate claims.

The document contains multiple references to CIA human sources reporting on Putin’s plans. After the report was completed in 2020, it was considered so sensitive that it remained in storage at the CIA rather than on Capitol Hill.

Tulsi’s isolation is the one issue people do not quite seem to understand.
Pam Bondi (AG) isn’t with her. Director Kash Patel (FBI) and Director John Ratcliffe (CIA) are not with her. Susie Wiles (CoS) is not with her. In all of these efforts DNI Tulsi Gabbard is all alone.
The Israel-First media and activist group is also aligned against her.

...those who control power within the Oval Office keep Tulsi isolated and away from the President.

The DNI can look at anything in any silo and put sunlight upon it. Yet, people claim the DNI has no power.

Nice idea but it just won’t work.
You cannot use reason and empirical evidence to argue against half wit imbeciles who base decisions on emotion.
Smartass sound bites win over peer reviewed papers full of complex data and big words.
Never mind that these knuckle draggers believe what they want to believe and call science “fake” if they can’t understand it.

The best question to ask is often “what evidence would it take to convince you that I’m right?”

and the answer is often that there’s nothing you can say. At that point, you just walk away and do what you can to make the world better, because fighting with those people isn’t going to help.

We will see if Gabbard is as bright as she thinks she is . In one document alone that she released about the 2016 Russian interference certain information about the location and dates once cross checked could reveal who was spying in Russia for the CIA. If it cost the lives of operatives and it gets confirmed she's cooked
