Hi All,

How long do you typically wait for a response from an indy for a booking request before reaching out to the next option?
Trying to avoid a double booking situation.
Planning a trip soon so would like to book my preferences first
Thx

Speaking from a provider view point, I don’t have a secretary and I won’t answer in a session and I usually leave my work phone at home. So be patient with reply’s. Although email comes to both phones so even if I’m out of town you can contact me via email.

You can message a whole bunch of providers at the same time. The first one that gets back to you, gets the appointment.

You’re not double booking unless you set up a time with more than one person and it’s confirmed.

If there’s somebody you really want to see, then give her a few hours or even a day or two to get back to you and book it a few days to a week in advance.

Professionally, 24-48h is my longest response time unless I am away. My clients can vouch for my responsiveness. I think 3-5 days is a fair maximum for most, with or without assistant.

I recommend against messaging too many providers at the same time as it comes off insincere. It depends on who you are asking of course, but I consider a potential client to be a WOT if they end up failing to book me repeatedly after contacting. I do block people for that.

Booking a month ahead is your best bet if your preferred SPs are busy people, especially if you want a weekend date. This isn't possible in all cases such as work trips which can pop up out of no where.

2 days might be a bit long. Unless she’s on vacation and has 2 phones like me. Send her another polite message. Make sure you follow all the instructions on her website or ads. Some people might only book a certain way. Make sure you're sending a message to the right phone/ email too. Or that she doesn’t exclusively book through a booking form.

My first suggestion of messaging a few providers is if you’re looking for right now. But if you’re taking time to prebook then be patient with the one you want to see.
OP said they're still planning the trip so luckily, it's a pre-booking situation!

HI, Yes about 1 month out. I will also try their website direct form incase my email was filtered out.
Good idea. I’m really bad with checking my junk email. Sometimes I’ll go weeks without looking in it and I’ll see a letter from what could have been a great date if they didn’t land in my junk and I missed them completely.

Following up with a different method is a good idea if you still haven’t heard from them.

it depends on your willingness to wait and how much you want to see someone. however, i would recommend not waiting more than 2 days for most people.

if you are really interested in seeing someone, you may want to keep following up until you hear back. it's totally up to you, but nobody is irreplaceable i would think and responsiveness matters more imo.

i do think that some people get bombarded with requests and it's hard to respond to everything -- especially if there's a large enough delay between when you send a message and when they look at their inbox. you will most likely be at the bottom of their messages. so there could be some oversight, and you have to account for that.

note, i personally don't like waiting longer for someone at all, and if i see a trend in unresponsiveness i don't give them a second chance.

but it does happen naturally sometimes. i understand that nobodies perfect and we all learn by experience.

you have to quantify how interested you are in someones services and whether the responsiveness thing is a deal breaker or not. usually it is. i think long enough delays are a deal breaker to me personally.

My work phone is at home and I’m a 4 hour drive from home right now. I keep a schedule on my website but if anybody texted me in that time, I haven’t answered my phone since Thursday evening. And when I get home, later tonight, I’ll reply to some and I won’t reply to others as too much time has lapsed. It won’t be discrete to reply to some of them this much time later.

So I wouldn’t write somebody off for no response necessarily. But if you try a couple of times to no response and you’ve followed all her rules for booking and you’ve been as polite, friendly, and as informative as possible and she still doesn’t reply, definitely move on to somebody else. It doesn’t hurt to have a back up choice

I suppose it's reasonable to expect the client wants discretion, but for those of us who really don't care, would you text back if I said something like "message me back anytime". I have done this, and I still have to re-initiate the convo

That depends on the context of your text. I won’t ever text somebody out of the blue. I don’t cold call anybody. I don’t send out emails reminding anybody of anything. I will text a reply if somebody says I can text back any time.

Some ladies need to chase down money. Others are busy no matter what they do. It’s a lot of work sometimes replying to people. Especially if I’ve been away and have 20 plus messages to read and reply to.

Hi All,

How long do you typically wait for a response from an indy for a booking request before reaching out to the next option?
Trying to avoid a double booking situation.
Planning a trip soon so would like to book my preferences first
Thx
If you are seeking a same day appointment, I usually wait for an hour to 1.5 max. Its easy to wait around all day and have nothing work out.

I would say everybody is different but I try to reply asap I get a message. The only time I don’t touch my work fone is when I’m in a session, so I’m very quick to reply within minutes up to a few hours.

I would say generally you should wait at least a day or two for a respond at least if you are an out of town gent trying to book ahead.
If you are looking for same day some girls are ok with a few hours notice.

Honestly the most time you guys give me the better for you and for me because I have to make sure I look perfect and also my place looks impeccable.
I hope that helps.

As much as I would love to set up an appointment a week or month later, as some ladies here prefer, I've learned the hard way that a million things can go wrong, and either party winds up cancelling. And for me getting cancelled isn't something I can reschedule, since I lead a very mobile and hectic life. Last time, I made plans that far in advance, I was cancelled, I lost my deposit, and was left scrambling for some action, that I went the No.5 and couldn't find a stool to sit on, and had a sub-par session at the first AMP I got to before they closed, then had to return back to the real world the next day.... I was very disappointed.

Now for my current situation... I'll be in Vancouver for the Nine Inch Nails concert on August 10th; and obviously once my family, relatives, and friends heard I was coming into town, they all wanted a piece of my time before and after the concert. So I figure that leaves me with about 5 hours the night before the concert to have for myself.....so what do I do for 5 hours in the evening of Aug 9th?... which leads to the OP's question:

With the limited time I will have, at most, I'd call/text first thing in the morning on the day of, or at least 2 to 3 hours notice.

Also, (and I probably get teased for this)... I make a list; a sort of 'black book' of providers who I've personally verified through this website, who are real, well reviewed, and offer all the services I like. Which is why I'm on PERB a lot/too much to keep in the know of things and be ready when I am let off my leash. I'll most likely not book a week/month/morning in advance, as suggested.... but just keep my list, so when I'm free from social obligations, I'll start running my finger down the list and it's going to be the first one responding getting my business.

I usually reach out to a few girls at the same time, first one to answer gets booked. Don't wait for a response before contacting someone else, you may be waiting for days...
I am totally ok with losing an appointment with somebody I haven’t met yet that took me hours or days to reply to lol. Early bird gets the worm and all that. 💕
