I'm disappointed I couldn't find a Letterkenny image with them celebrating Canada Day.
So y'all gotta live with one of them at a super soft birthday party.

I like watching how people give thanks for Canada, Thankgiving, military service, and whatever is socially acceptable; when they are just being hypocrites.
When was the last time these people gave of their free time, helped with charity, helped feed the poor. When is the last time they helped a neighbour out. Open the door for elderly people. Nope they don't do that, well I don't see it that often when I go out in public. I should be seeing that everyday.
Maybe I just see the seedier/evil/greedier side of people before I see them doing any good or nice thing.
Actions everyday help contribute to a better Canada.
Oh I gave money to charity. Yeah thats a cop-out. Volunteer your time, that is more precious than money.

Have a nice Canada Day......

Man, you're asking a lot when I see people almost daily who run the red light/stop sign, or not letting someone else change lanes, or merge on the bridge/highway. Common courtesy is disappearing quickly, let alone charity.

it’s sad to see as well. What sucks is if you bring this up, people will call you “sensitive” simply because you believe in empathy. It feels like everyone is becoming more morally detached by the day.

i think apathy is more rampant in our “society”currently due to how individualistic society has become (which is ironic, considering society is a term used to describe the collective). You’re always told to look out for yourself before others, that you’re the centre of the universe, not anyone else.

as always, be the change you want to see in the world.

And as I posted in the Canadian Political Forum,

"fuck the shit talkers" you all know who you are since your vitriol constantly boils up into these forums.

It is a great time to be a Canadian.

I'm obviously old-school and come from a very different world/era, trained and raised in the old-fashioned way. Such people are fast becoming the minority. Most see no problem in what I mentioned, probably because that's exactly how they behave.

I agree! If everyone contributed something, even the smallest action, it would make a huge difference. Do something that makes you feel good.

I volunteer my time on the board for a local non-profit that does important work in the community.

I donate cash and clothing regularly to local sex work orgs

I play music at a few local nursing homes. Many of those folks don’t get visitors, music brings them joy.

I’m fortunate to have an extra bedroom in my home, in which I’ve hosted many friends for free while they’re going thru a life transition, in search of affordable housing. So many, that bedroom has earned the name “Vivi’s halfway house for wayward women” They’ve joked about making team tshirts. 😂
