We Need A ‘Kill Switch’ On Foreign Powers Tampering With Our Electric Grid
MAY 28, 2025
“Rogue communication devices not listed in product documents have been found in some Chinese solar power inverters by U.S experts who strip down equipment hooked up to grids to check for security issues … Using the rogue communication devices to skirt firewalls and switch off inverters remotely, or change their settings, could destabilize power grids, damage energy infrastructure, and trigger widespread blackouts, experts said.”
https://empoweringamerica.org/we-ne...eign-powers-tampering-with-our-electric-grid/

BC hydro dam projects don't need inverters since AC, the alternating current everybody familiar with from electrical outlets comes directly from AC generators in BC dam sites. Solar panel's DC, like direct current from batteries can't be raised to high voltage / low current required to decrease losses in transmitting power long distances. Once inverted to AC other losses occur in matching the alternations from the inverter to the alternations of the grid power reaching consumers.

Trump has literally done what he said he would. The same thing he was voted in for.

You think Harris who tried to run on something totally different then she has ever stood for would have been more honest? Reminds me of a recent election in Canada...Atleast AOC doesnt lie. Shes just beyond dumb and believes her own stupidity.

Shoutout to the dems that dont think trump and elon are doing beef theatre. Suddenly ppl like elon again, arent firebombing tesla and are demanding thw epstein list rather then blocking it... i think they may actually vote for AOC next election...
So the consummate liar... told the truth about what he intended to do if he got elected. That's your defence? I guess that Mexico paid for the border wall, the tariffs will be paid by the other countries not the USA... and that the immigrants were eating the dogs and cats too? No. You're too smart to believe that garbage. You're right. Trump is scum. Stop defending him.
Your assertion that in your opinion he is the lesser of the available evils may be valid,.. I don't know, I don't have reliable information on the criminality or otherwise of his opponents and frankly don't care.
My point.. and the point that I expect you to agree with., is that Trump is an egotistical sack of shit who couldn't admit that he was wrong at anything to save his life.
If we can agree on that I'm game to ignore the rest of your points about Harris, or Hillary or whatever other Dems you have a hard on about at the moment. I don't care about any of them. They didn't violate the USMCA agreement with illegal tariffs on Canada under the pretext of a National Emergency. Trump did.
Biden may have been a senile old man, I don't care, he, or his handlers, never blatantly and illegally attacked Canada economically. Trump did, and he sounds just as senile Biden and ten times more ignorant.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

You being a trump supporter finally knowing what "embarrassment" feels like .... That's very interesting. Watch out the coming months will be a festival of that newly discovered feeling.

Advice : You should not develop empathy so early in trump's term as you are in for a wild ride

I'm pretty sure that it's ILLEGAL immigrants that are being detained and deported. I'm glad that the Democratic party is on the wrong side if this. It means that they're very unlikely to be in power again. Obviously, that's a good thing.
The problem is that it’s not just illegals who are being rounded up. Many cases of legal permanent residents, even citizens, and in a case last week a tourist from South America, being bundled into the back of a van by masked militia types without identification or warrants.

It’s about a little thing called Due Process, and it used to make America different than the crackpot dictatorships around the world. Sadly no more.

" Due process" !!! "Show me a warrant" !!!
All of a sudden everyone is a lawyer ..lol
ICE agents do not require probable cause or a warrant to apprehend or detain someone. When you're trying to deport millions of illegal aliens, I imagine that occasional errors occur. I'm not aware of any US CITIZENS being deported. If you entered the US illegally, you are a criminal and you are at risk of being deported. It's the same as it was under Obama and Biden. Nothing has changed except it looks like the pace of deportations has increased. What's the problem? There isn't one. ICE agents are masked because they don't want themselves or their families targeted by drug gangs or left wing nutjobs. Maybe go easy on your consumption of fake news. Stick to facts and people will take you more seriously.

Totally wrong ! ICE needs probable cause as it is in their rules as they are an enforcement agency bond by the constitution and the rule of law . Nobody needs to be a lawyer to know that very basic rule of law just like not knowing the law as ever been an excuse in front of a judge .

ICE same rule book requires them to have a warrant to enter any private property residential or commercial unless otherwise invited.

It's a rhetorical question so you don't have to answer. It's an amazing time to be alive.

I don't care if you're embarrassed. I wasn't trying to embarrass you or make any judgements about you. Your disclaimer of being embarrassed for me is meaningless as I don't feel embarrassed at all.
I don't pretend to know things that I'm not interested in and haven't taken the time to research fully. Those that do.. are usually just trolls or ignorant people who pretend to know things that they don't. I have too much self respect to pretend to know things I don't, and I'm not invested enough in the side tracks of the conversation to take the time to research to debate points that don't matter to me fully.
That said, I noticed how you deflected the conversation away from my assertions about Trump. Embarrassed or not, are you willing to agree with me about Trump? Or are you simply trolling?
I think my points were well stated and clear with evidentiary backing. Do you agree with me? If not, what are your rebuttals to my points?
Cheers.

Where are you getting your information?
I ask because a simple search online reveals that you're incorrect. ICE agents cannot enter a home without a judicial warrant or consent.
To paraphrase you - There's no shortage of people like yourself. I think the popular term is "useless idiot"

first, lets be clear... being in the country illegally is a civil offence (like overstaying your visa). crossing the border illegally is a criminal misdemeanour.

indeed, if they are there illegally then the president has authority to perform many of these actions. he also said that these people were ruining the country. what evidence is there of that?

politically, this works for Trumps base. but millions of these people are relied upon by the businesses they work for and the families they have here. some have been here for decades and are married to US citizens and have children who are US citizens.

so i'll ask you a simple question... when individuals are there, have a history of hard work and community involvement and are important to their employers and family who are US citizens... then why try to deport them?

Who said anything about entering a person's home? They can arrest them at work (if they have a job) or they can arrest them walking down the street. They can arrest them at the mall or at the beach. They can arrest them in a thousand different places and ways WITHOUT A WARRANT. You can try and split hairs or deflect from the reality of the situation but it won't matter. The majority of the people in the US voted for this and they're very happy that it's happening. It may hurt your feelings so I'm sorry about that.

There no question in your statement and nothing rhetorical. You simply would like every executive order from your Kool aid supplier to be followed without debate and without question despite the US having a constitution that has been built according to the principles of the magna carta , US specific articles and appropriate amendements.

Glad to be your useful idiot since you can't seem to figure out the webster dictionary or to do a proper Google search ....I know it must be exhausting. Ill keep feeding you with a spoon in the meantime until you get it 👍

I didn't say I was embarrassed. I said that I was embarrassed for you. Big difference. Pro tip, don't start off trying to make a point by saying I don't really know much about the point I'm trying to make. Another way of looking at it is that you're saying, "I have no idea what I'm talking about but it doesn't matter because I know that you're wrong". To quote that sleepiest of presidents, " C'mon man!

Are you saying that the people who have overstayed their visas can stay but the people who entered the country illegally can be deported? OK. If you're saying that people who entered the country illegally shouldn't be deported then I guess you would be OK with me coming to live at your house. What time should I come by?

Ah the trolls do come out, recycled ones, new ones, all pathetic. You know who you are, you know what you do, and sometimes, on rare occasions, you are entertaining, but not much.

And for the failed states as ALL THE ILLEGALS are rounded up and stuffed into that El Salvador gulag, whose gonna build your wall?

no, thats not what i said.

i do have a bunch of house cleaning and gardening to do... can you come by at 6am tomorrow morning? people immigrate to the US not to sit around. they are there for the work that US citizens want done. like my gardening and house cleaning.

you evaded my question: when individuals are there, have a history of hard work and community involvement and are important to their employers, community and family who are US citizens... why is Trump trying to deport them?
