Based on your appearance, what kind of music do people assume you listen to and what do you actually listen to?

Look left. Way left.

Ok. I'll play.

I dress casual and clean generally. I suppose people would assume that I listen to current mainstream pop but I listen everything but.
If I'm anywhere near someone playing reggae or ska it will be very obvious that I'm into that!

I love some tom waits and ska and reggae!!

By appearances only, I look like I listen to rock.

In truth there is no genre I don’t like. Some genres I love a lot of, some just a little but I truly just love music. Everything has a mood. Punk rock, rock, heavy metal, classic rock, thrash, speed metal, grind core, industrial, blues, soul, rnb, hip hop, reggae, pop, electronica, jazz, a teeny tiny bit of country.

Some of my favorites, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, early Metallica, Lykke li, pj Harvey, tom waits, Nina Simone, Bob Marley (his sons put out great music too), Dolly Parton, Johnny cash, almost anything on Buddha bar play lists. My list goes on forever but those are off the top of my head without thinking too much.

Right, so based on my appearance, people assume I listen to happy lyrical music like Katy Perry or Bobby McF. Especially when I am dressed casual and grinning about all good things in life, like big boobies and stiletto heels 👠

However, in reality my musical tastes reflect my current mood and passions.

One day I might be down for some sexy sultry tunes when I’m groov’in it. R&B, Progressive House, Madonna riffs like Secret.

Driving days would bring out the harder thumping rock tunes or 70’s beat. I will take anything by Rush for 500 Alex.

Soft social convo would require something along the lines of Neil Young / Harvest Moon.

Chillin 😎 and enjoying life? Sade please, Everlast, Theory of a Deadman (Santa Monica), Cheryl Crow & al.

If I am mad as hell: 70’s Rock, NIN, Sex Pistols, Who.

Stoned? Slide the Marley, Grateful D, or Green Grass & High Tides 4-EV-R. Trance or Progressive House, Pink Floyd DSOTM, etc.

So ya, don’t judge a book by its cover was decent advice I try to live by.

Someone once tried to insult me by saying "I bet you listen to something boring like classical music" 😂

I enjoy both classical & jazz for chill background music, especially if I want something without lyrics. But I'm also a fan of metal & punk, and anything in between. I think my least favourite genre would be pop but my biggest gripe is how overplayed some of it gets.

All music is good music, and especially if it's live!

Classical music, the grunge/Tv of the 1700/1800s. Even today classical is still in.
People use music to dissassociate/disconnet with the everyday grind of the world.
