OMG! They built it overnight?
We truly are screwed.
what are we building? nothing, for a decade

while the Liberals/Turd/Carney, he was involved for 5 years as a "consultant"

the U.S. built 7 LNG plants

while the Turd told Germany, Japan, Greece to go fuck themselves, cause there was no business case for it

well you got one thing right, yes, we are screwed

cause the only thing they know, is how to run up the debt/deficits

that's Carney's plan, on paper and from both sides of his mouth

where he will pick and choose who's worthy of working, just like the Turd did overnight, er for a decade of your life

they took a decade of your lives and left you as poor as you were in 2015

yeah, it's the U.S. orange menace that's the issue, oh, wait, it's not overnight

Tariffs, we don't need no stinkin Tariffs!!

just superficial slogans, like the last decade

18 years, that's what it would take for an average young person to save for a downpayment on a average priced house in Canada

yeah, overnight, who cares, let's keep letting the same stunned cunts who fucked us for the last decade ruin 4 more

Sure... its really funny to laugh at the likely complete demise of Kitimat as a functioning city in the next few years as 80% of its aluminum goes to the US. You guys sure have a strange sense of humor.

Its BC Works smelter in Kitimat employs more than 1,000 workers. When contractors are added, it employs about 2,500 people directly and indirectly, Pécresse said. Currently, 80 per cent of the aluminum produced in B.C. goes to the U.S.

This could turn it into another abandoned city like Ocean Falls but hey...it makes for a good laugh right?.
Real knee slapper.

Before worrying about that you should do your research about the causes of the dwindling US aluminum production in the US . Once you read about the main hurdle for the US you will get where Larry's Torch was coming from.

If it's an aluminum recycling plant i would understand but otherwise...once trump is out of office that plant is doomed and that is if it's even built in less than 4 years . Maybe trump can convince Americans that paying 50% more for a product compare to other countries is good, efficient and great for competitiveness.

We will see

While that may provide me with some much needed mental stimulation; the hour is late (or early depending on your perspective). For now the time has arrived for me to partake in my favourite adult entertainment (connoisseur that I am), relieve some 'stress' and end the day.
I bid you adieu.

More and more Canada's backwards thriving economy the result of interprovincial trade barriers. The will to compete with fellow Canadians and grow a competitive stance against the world squashed by a need for strict, consistent long haul trucking regulations and driver safety standards.

In today’s news a dump truck driver had his dump truck impounded for 90 days for being impaired. Also 16 safety violations were found on the truck.
This is the second time THIS year for the same driver and truck.
140000 pounds barreling down on you with faulty brakes and bald tires I think there needs to be tough regulations.
Idiots like that should not be in the profession.

Negativity? I look at it more as throwing a dose of the upcoming reality into a champagne cork popping celebration by a cabal of Liberal boomers who expound all their negativity and anger in the USA political thread.

And there is a lot of it.

I doubt that Larry was coming from anywhere, just making an asinine comment.
I am aware of the hurdles...I am also aware of the main thrust of what the USA will be doing over the next 4... probably 8 years with the mess the Democrats are currently in.... in insulating their economy from their dependence on foreign supply and by then it will be too late to turn back the clock.

and if you pulled over all the trucks on the road, you'd find violations with almost all of them

cause the regulations/security theater, cause that's what it's become now

once the bureaucrats get involved, with all the red tape, not based on reality, real life situations

one day blitz, notice that's all the $100,000 secretaries with guns can manage every few months

cause if they did it weekly, daily, you'd have no trucks on the road, cause they pull them for the littlest infraction

talking about idiots, now go with all the cars, cause you're sooooo concerned

or doesn't a 3000 pound death machine bother you?

elbows up right?

I know you are very anti government by your posts and that’s ok to have your opinion. From what you wrote you don’t want government interfering with safety on the roads. Then who??
I’ve driven various vehicles for over 40 years professionally. More than 4 million km. Road safety is important to me as I’m on the road 10 to 12 hours daily. I’ve seen a decline in safety standards in the trucking industry in that time.
Ive seen many accidents over the years that could be prevented with simple maintenance.
When I started driving in the 70s there was city testing for cars. It was a pain to go every year but it did get some wrecks off the roads.
Commercial vehicles are supposed to have a safety test 1 every year. With private shops. Too many people are buying the stickers.
The company I work for won’t even let a vehicle out of the yard with even a burned out light. Because the do proper maintenance. I’ve never got a ticket in any CSVS check. Our vehicles are on the road so your argument for no vehicles on the road is invalid.
You are correct I do not want 3000 lbs or 140000 lbs running into me because they don’t want to spend money on maintenance. You are forgetting driving is a privilege not a right. That dump truck driver should never drive again. Simple

I know you are very anti government

no, I'm anti incompetent

anti lying sack of shits

anti reality

don't know about you delusional BC'ers

but in AB car insurance

you need a mechanical inspection on most cars over 10 yrs old if you switch or it's a used vehicle you buy and want insured

it's fucking SECURITY THEATER

CAUSE YOU NEVER NEED TO DO IT AGAIN

YOU COULD BE ON THE ROAD FOR 20 YEARS AFTER AND NEVER FIXED IT IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE

BUT UNLESS YOU RANDOMLY GET STOPPED, THE COP CARES, THERE IS AN OBVIOUS PROBLEM, NO, CAUSE MOST COPS AREN'T MECHANICS

OR EVEN SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW OR REALLY CARE, TILL AFTER YOU CAUSE A PROBLEM

JUST LIKE WITH YOUR DELUSIONS OF TRUCKS

just look at reality

all the trucks, then the mileage driven, then the trips

then put up the actual stats, real numbers of deaths, injuries, property damage, ect.......

it's statistically irrelavant

just like with all the other things they claim are about your "safety"

like the PR of checkstops

or the moronic loss of your constitutional right not to be unreasonably stopped and asked to blow for no reason

yeah why actually put in policies that will work, achieve actual results

yeah, if that's anti gov't

then I"m anti gov't

Sure , just eliminate all safety requirements from hours of service to vehicle service. Why bother right ? . May as well add driving semis and 3000 lb death machines to the second amendment. They’ re as deadly as guns right? Oh I forgot , guns don’t kill people…….

and how many people have died from the guns that the Turd banned 4 years ago?

Zero

unless you count the people killed by actual criminals who don't care what the gun laws are

but go after law abiding people who get licenced, take courses, register their restricted guns, store them properly

SECURITY THEATER

useless rules that don't make you fucking safer

what part about that don't you understand Justin?

we're over run with it in this country while things that actually matter are never solved

just keep your elbows up

while you go on vaca for another 6 months Mark, after all you're going to work for a whole month before that

we needed that election, it was soooo important, Dec-May, no sitting of the house, 70B spent, did you get your bribe?

1 month of work, maybe, then 4 months off

why bother right?

these are the dumb cunts who come up with the "safety" shit

go look at the Provincial MLA's they work even less and come up with even more of the stupid security theater

Ive seen many accidents over the years that could be prevented with simple maintenance.
When I started working part time in the 70s I drove a forklift.
Safety regulations and vehicle inspections didn't exist.
I had a crash course on forklift driving. A few weeks later I drove into a trailer and a front wheel of the fork went through the floor. Def shit yer pants moment. At least twice we had sketchy semi drivers pull away from the dock while our forklift drivers were inside. Another time an untrained kid was trying to load a flat deck and drove off the side of the truck, miraculously he was unhurt.
Many companies still use untrained operators despite million dollar fines and lawsuits. They put teenagers on bulldozers and the kid gets killed. The company gets sued and fined into bankruptcy but pops up under a new number.
Now there are real training requirements and real vehicle inspections. And with good reason.

Then what is the answer? I asked 1 question and you avoided it by shouting. Your caps lock is stuck open.
Some of the vehicles I drive are over 1 million kilometres. They pass inspection with flying colours. I know trucks have lots of miles on them. If companies and owner operators maintain their vehicles then they will be safe.
Instead of shouting what is your answer for road safety if not checkpoints? I’m willing to listen and I hear fine. No shouting needed. lol.

Well, Trump IS a bit of a cunt. And the whole 51st thing certainly has people riled up. So, personally I feel it's justified.
