Andrew Scheer is an American citizen. He should be eliminated from Canadian politics.
When Mark Carney is out of office in a year or two, where will he live? Will it be England or the US? Unlike Carney, Scheer has at least been living in Canada.
You make it sound too difficult. A simple piece of legislation covering every Canadian in senior levels would do.

From what i gather, Carney is a canadian citizen. What he does following his service as prime minister is of no consequence. Sheer is an American citizen and should be excluded.

Andrew Scheer was born in Canada and is a Canadian citizen. He has lived and worked in Canada his entire life. He has dual citizenship with the US because his father who is also a Canadian citizen was born in the US. Mark Carney was born in Canada and is a Canadian citizen. He has spent extended periods of his adult life living and working outside Canada. Mark Carney is a Canadian when it suits him. Interesting to note, Mark Carney also holds Irish and UK citizenship. So Carney has more citizenships. I think he should be excluded. Either way Mr. Carney won't be around for long. When he's gone in a year or two he can live anywhere he wants.
As far as I know, carney gave up his citizenship on other countries before taking office. He’s only a Canadian now.

I have always voted conservative all my life and had more election loss than most. I didn't vote this past election as i had to take of a sick family member. That a side if Carney is out in 2 years would mean that something went terribly wrong with the by lateral negotiation with the US and Canada has not pivoted, which means we would be in bad shape economically.
I would have voted for Carney to be honest but if Poilievre would have won I would have hoped that he would get a full term as it would mean a successful reorganization and diversification of the Canadian economy as well as the fall of the internal barrier between provinces .
