The more you active you are in the hobby, the more you will develop your own lens that you can apply.

Some basic guidelines that I use (and these are guidelines, there are nuances and exceptions to everything):
  • If it looks too good to be true, it is.
  • An SP that shows her face is usually fake or it's going to be bait and switch
  • Views are an indication of authenticity. In Victoria, over 10k views lends legitimacy to a posting.
  • Generally avoid deposits (this is changing as the industry changes)
  • 24/7 & party friendly are signs to tread with caution
  • Diamonds can be found in the rough, but you usually have to spend a lot of time neck deep in a pool of shit before you find one.
Be vigilant. Use common sense. Do your research.

I have been subject to the bait and switch, had my noney stolen and ended up in some really questionable situations over the years because i let my dick, my ego and/or my arrogance get in the way of rational thought. Ideally, you build your lens on the mistakes of others.
