It wasn't that dramatic in Langley city. Just a big bump and a little shudder and then it was all over.

There was a good thump on the North Shore around Horseshoe Bay. House on the bedrock and stilts moved along the slope with one big shake followed by little trimmers.

Lucky for me, I wasn't freaking out at 1:30pm during the end of my lunch, just felt a little tremor and noticed things moving around making noise... Thought it was someone pounding away too hard and shook the house but couldn't hear anyone moaning and making those sexy noises!

I guess it would make a difference if you were perpendicular or parallel to the seismic waves.

Closest I got to fucking in a quake was on the VIA Vancouver to Toronto train some years back. There is a section around the great lakes, I think coming into the Saux St Marie area where the tracks were really bumpy. Lots of additional vertical force plus some side to side. Made for a pretty wild ride
