I can see sometimes agencies post xyz so many post a day pushing single post down.

TERB has this so I asked a while back, and it turns out PERB used to have separate indie and agency ad sections. It was merged because there was no need to have it separate then.

I saw recently that an agency had bumped up not only individual ads for ladies, but also separate ads for each area (ie. Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby) and I found that to be a stretch. It's not against any rules to do that though. Just felt a bit 😳

Seeing as how the rules are we can only bump our ads once or twice a day for indies, wouldn’t it be the same for an agency? multiple bumping seems unfair

Oh wow yeah, you're right. Maybe the mods are operating with something different and more recent, but not officially updated (last update: May 27, 2020) set of individual rules/discretion. What I've been seeing in practice is that agencies are bumping each single post once a day, which is often 8 or 9 altogether for some agencies. If it's not enforced against, then the rule is nothing more than suggestions that may be applied when whatever is happening is egregious enough.

I doubt anyone is reporting it since most people don't read the rules to begin with though, and a regular person would have no reason to report this kind of behaviour even if it's against the rules. More guys seem to post a response rather than report even haha

1. You are permitted one post a day in the “Independent Escort” advertiser section, plus one bump up a day.

Agency/Massage Parlour Advertiser Rules

1. You are permitted one post a day in the Escort Agency advertising section and 2 posts per day in the Massage Parlour advertiser section.

I'm not sure who you ladies are referring to, but I noticed this last night when I was going through 'New Posts'. Temporary Girlfriends had a whole roster of ads.

It's not a knock on agencies and definitely not on a single individual agency, but we're adding our own observations regarding what OP brought up.
Agencies are doing their best to get their SPs seen and I'm happy to see them bring attention to their ladies, as they should! 🔥

I just didn’t want to go on the second page while shopping, too lazy to click😅.

I think those rules are copy and paste from merb or terb. On merb they do one post a day to inform who is working that day, I found that more useful.

I don’t know the arrangement, maybe the agency is paying more so they can advertise more… idk 🤷🏿‍♀️

Statistically, the fewer number of clicks, the better the exposure/funnel to business. You're completely right with wanting to keep it simple.

Agencies are paying $50 more ("Independent Supporting Member Account With Banner" price vs "Agency Supporting Member Account With Banner On Forum Pages Only"). But bumping so many ads a day taking up the limited page 1 of ads can be a bit of clutter for those who are looking to view indies.

Independents can pay less if they don't want a banner, which is not an official option for agencies, so I only compared the "with banner" tiers.

I had asked Aug 2024 and was told there's no need for an indies ad section so it was deleted before my time on perb, but would it be an inconvenience to have an indies ad section? It may make things more convenient for those trying to skip ahead past agency ads like OP.

Easier than trying to enforce some kind of maximum on agency ad posts (12 is the new record at once I've witnessed)! Indies don't take up too much space, so if it's not too trouble 🙏

Lots of gents will see ladies everywhere. Indies, micros, parlors, etc. and then there’s a lot of gents (thank goodness) that will only see indies. And it’s really not fair to the indie or the gentleman seeking an indie to have to scroll through pages of excessive agency ads
