Are there fewer domestic SPs now due to alternative "employment" opportunities like instagram, OF, and even sugaring?

can you explain how it works? how is it $100 a day if an ad costs $15? are you saying that you need to pay the $15 multiple times per day to stay on the front page?

also, what percentage of unverified are actual SPs rather than scammers? do real SPs use the unverified option?

do you know how to find SPs on X or Bluesky? I don't know what keywords to use. Clearly using "vancouver escorts" doesn't give many relevant results...
LL ads cost a few dollars to put up, but as more ads go up or are bumped up they go down. You can get bumps as mentioned for over $7, depending on how busy it is that ad ca be on page one 30-60 mins. You also can pay for an ad to be up 3, 5 or 7 hours. But this varies city to city. In Toronto the bumps and keeping it on page one were almost double in price. The bigger a city is the more it seems LL charges.

I spend anywhere from $50-$140 a day for my LL ad. It has doubled in the less than 3 years I have been doing this too. But I tend to work less days per week with longer hours. Still I hate giving LL so much of my money. I do think 80-90% of their ads are fake and scams and have heard rumours of LL making their own fake ads to trick men and make us pay more to keep our ads on page one to compete against the fake ads. More reasons to use PERB & Tryst ads (that cost us much less) & finding us in twitter/X and Bluesky where many of us advertise on too: and pre book your favourite providers so we use LL less and see you more!

Wow LL sounds like a fucking rip off. They must be raking in hundreds of thousands per month...

I never go by who's ad appears first... I just search by area, ethnicity, and then mass text all girls who posted in the last week or so who fit the bill to see who is available. Does it really make a big difference to keep bumping your ads??

quick search brought up:

LeoList corporate office is located in 8725 Moeller Dr, Harbor Springs, Michigan, 49740, and has 27 employees.
Annual revenue as of a couple years ago 5.7M US$
Further couple minutes of digging noted it had been owned by Unicorn House a UK based outfit run by one guy a John Cross but that was dissolved in 2019 about the same time LL announced new ownership etc. Somehow there seems to be a Vancouver connection ...

On the fake ads thing, wasn't that a deal with Ashley Madison? which got disclosed about the same time the big hack disclosed all the names?

Scammers are going to scam is about all I can say on the topic.

I think every time leolist gets sold, they raise the prices. It started off here . I seem to remember it being owned by a Vancouver pimp when it first went on line. It's been sold several times since then

interesting... why doesn't the original owner raise the price themselves instead of selling the site lol

It’s illegal in Canada to have anything to do with sex work except sell sex. It makes advertising difficult and our only options aren’t local. I’m sure he made a kajillion off selling it.

The sex work laws of this country are garbage. Canadians owning and starting companies to allow sex workers, who can legally sell their services, to advertise? Nah. Shady foreign organizations possibly connected to organized crime? Yes! I had a sex worker ask if she could rent one of my condos to run an agency, she's savvy and smart, I trust her, but would the government accuse me of a crime for doing so because I know how she's paying her rent and where that money comes from? Possibly. So now she has to resort to renting condos in bad parts of town where landlords are desperate for tenants, as she only has cash and no credit, and lying to landlords, putting herself at risk. Trudeau's mother was basically a sugar baby, you think he'd be a bit more understanding.

Do you agree?

I have been familiar with this biz for long enough to have a general sense for what I'm comparing.

And I suggest that there are far MORE "domestic SP's" in present day 2025 than there were in the 1980's or 1990's.

(LOL) with each passing year, more churches close, and society becomes more liberal.

In 2024-25, young women are conditioned by having their nudies passed around the, uh, student body, long before they become old enough to legally take interest in this biz.

Eventually things like webcamming and escorting are but a small step away.

The webcamming boom has been a remarkable social study... and most would never imagine the extreme amount of human variety in what seems like one place.

However, anyone who steps into webcamming (specifically being any part of nude on the internet) should fully expect their nude videos to remain on the internet for years to follow... (pushed out only by so many more videos accumulating after their own).

SO, despite what I said about nudies being passed around from phone to phone around the student body, it is still less risky in the minds of the young hotties to discretely step into the escort trade where they can stay semi-anonymous, than it is to go all-in at webcamming.

Prostitution in Vancouver 40 years ago had as its most prominent face, the stunningly-attired babes on the high track downtown. Everything they did was an upsell waiting to happen, but they collectively did SO well at presenting themselves at curbside, that the sights were unforgettable. The mid track thrived back then, and the low track was never as "low" as it became in the 2000's (thanks to the proliferation of far more drugs).

While it seemed that the supply of young babes at curbside was considerable back then, their numbers simply can't compare to what is available online in the present. The internet took away the exposure (to man, weather and beast), and allowed women to create their own work environments and then wait for an electronic line to form. You don't hear too much from or about them because they discretely ply their trade without ruffling anything. No more condoms in somebody's front yard. No screaming in the middle of the street at midnight... and no more hurling nail polish at a Kate Moss billboard late at night on the high track downtown.

In 2025, a working girl is only as visible as she wants to be. Those not making waves are far, far away from the attention of LE, and they surely make a very good living.

AI porn is getting very good and can be tailored to suit the viewers’ interests.
It could put many onlyfans creators out of business.

Without seeing other replies here I do want to say it’s good to have variety in the SW world, because we all may excel in certain areas of SW or prefer certain areas. I entered SW as an exotic dancer when I was 19 years old. It helped put me through college but I also really enjoyed it too. After a while dealing with drunk men a lot & moving into fully being in my new career as an educator had me leave it. Then after being in civ jobs for years I went back into SW as a provider.

Personally I choose to be a provider & not do other SW for my own reasons. I do other part time civ jobs & plan to go back to having a civ job as my main job in a few years doing this as as my primary job, so doing in person services I can have more discretion & privacy & not do online work. As far as sugaring goes I did do some while I was a dancer and found a lot of men who tried to take advantage of myself being young, wanted more of my time for a really low price, and got super possessive. I have had a few men reach out offering an allowance but also wanting me to quit being a provider, which I won’t do. Also I don’t want to be dependent on an allowance, and like to make my own money knowing I can, have many financial goals, like my independence and freedom. Being a SB reminds me of my ex marriage in some ways, and I like my independence fully right now in every aspect of my life.

I don’t think I could get into the physical shape I was in as a dancer and restrain my body for that again. I do miss the stage, but I have mad respect for exotic dancers after being one and realizing what amazing physical shape I used to ma in to do that and the talent required and balance in those 5-6 inch heels.

I know many SWers who do a combination of different areas of SW, some stick two, some do just one. Again whatever you excel in, what works for you, what you find most profitable for your own self, do it. Having the variety we have in the industry is a very good thing!
Thanks for this nuanced and personal response. I always appreciate the thought and care you invest in your posts.

Speaking of the lovely ladies "alternate opportunities", Zuckerberg (boss of Facebook and Instagram) is changing their policies:

1) There was be less 3rd party fact-checking and restrictions on hate speech.

2) There will be more emphasis on rooting out "illegal" content, and that seem to strongly indicate a crackdown on cam-girls, escorts, and SW's.

You may want to start "sanitizing" your accounts & photos rater than wait for the banhammer to come down from the prudes and MMA thugs they are hiring as muscle.

(Yup, They are replacing a UK centrist on their board with a US Project 2025 guy, and also hiring UFC boss Dana White, because I guess it is the bro-est thing possible.)

Facebook is absolutely not SWer friendly nor is instagram. I personally don’t know anyone advertising SW on Facebook or have seen it. They are super strict with no “solicitation” on their platform.

I would say how things are going with social media platforms, especially right now for anyone to be careful what they share public or privately on them. My big concerns are more of no one having any privacy anymore on them. They are also a cesspool for scammers to scam people too.

I wonder if there should be a separate thread for this topic though? There has been some massive changes to social media platforms the last few months, not good imo.

Makes sense, but should be left up to you SW's to start & discuss. The rest of us are just spectators.
