Is it rude? Well is it necessary? Is the situation such that being loud is required? Is there a better way to communicate your ideas? Does the person doing the yelling appreciate being yelled at themselves?
Buddhists believe in the three gateways to speech, before we speak we run our thoughts through the three gateways, is it kind? Is it necessary? Is it true?
When run through the three gateways I find yelling is often an immature response to a situation that can’t be controlled by the person yelling.
Some people may be pampered, others have grown past the kindergarten level of objection.

If you're getting into a conversation where you have to raise your voice it's probably a conversation you should step out of ...

The image I get with this blurry statement is a boomer giving shit to a McDonald's clerk because his bigmac take time to arrive, or to a 7/11 dude because he doesn't understand the request... If it's that kind of shit then yes, raising your voice is rude...

If you raise your voice to cover the noise of the machine in the shop then no it's not rude, but no one would have told you that it is...

Are you trying to win an argument/debate by simply being more blustery than making actual points? Then yes.

Are you reponding to someone else doing the same or being otherwise threatening or rude ? Then no.

What about being said calmly while looking you in the eye with a tinge of cruelty in the voice?

Thats my preferred way to be mean. Or whispering cruel nothings in the ear could work too.

Yelling means somebody got under my skin and they’re important enough to evoke emotion. In which case I’ll just punch the person in the face and then go for a walk. Or am I supposed to go for a walk first? I never get that one quite right. Hahaha. Joking. Or am I? 😉.

I find when you yell at people they stop listening. I know I do. I don’t like being yelled at, at all. Being yelled at, makes everything you’re trying to say invalid. I won’t yell at you. Don’t yell at me.

It’s true tho. I am pampered. And a little spoiled. 😉
Raised voice. Not yelling.... but again yelling does have valid points, safety and getting attention from a distance etc.

Time and place....

Without a back story, I have nothing to go on haha. I’m a really calm person. It’s my personality. I personally don’t like it when people raise their voice to me.

And yes of course, sometimes yelling is really important to do.
