Which one of these ads is most likely to make you want to buy a car....this strange woke ad promoting Jaguar which does not even feature a car in it?
Or maybe the best car commercial ever made, done by the Oppenheimer movie cinematographer almost 4 minutes long but tells an emotional story and gives a distinct message about one of the prime advantages you get when you buy a Volvo
Otherwise known as Princess Auto brand Power Fist.
Yes it is definitely emotional manipulation. But that ad works.. .the other doesn't and the comments under the actual YouTube videos are complete 180 degrees apart.I hate that Jaguar ad; I know they are trying to be edgy, but it is really the most up-your-own-ass bullshit, and the car maker should demand their money back from the ad agency.
As for the other ad, pure emotional manipulation. I get it, Volvos are safe, but a 4 minute tale of tragic existential consequences is over the top.
(Plus those auto-braking systems are generally terrible and tend to cause more safety problems than they solve, but that is a driver complain and not an ad complaint.)
