Jake Paul and Mike Tyson won’t be fighting in Texas for a little while.
In the wake of the boxers’ much-maligned Nov. 15 fight, they’ve been suspended 24 days by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The bans have nothing to do with Paul’s snoozfest of a win, Tyson’s listless return to the ring or even Netflix’s buffer-filled stream of the bout from AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Instead, the TDLR, which sanctioned the match, mandates combatants to rest three days for every round fought — meaning Paul and Tyson can’t so much as spar for 24 days following their eight-round face-off.
