He's lived on the dole his entire adult life.
To equate a gov't salary to "the dole" is farcical - even for you! LOL

"The dole" is welfare (i.e. EI). To equate a gov't salary to "the dole" is like saying a public school teacher who has been teaching for 30 years is "on the dole". Or nurses that work at a regional health authority are "on the dole."

There is literally no amount of mental gymnastics/redefining of words/hyperbole that you aren't willing to engage in to simply state you hate a certain politician. If you hate politicians (and/or one particular politician) - just say so. Mental gymnastics/redefining words/hyperbole only demonstrates you're trying to message some farcical hot take. I don't know why you can't see it - but you act exactly the same way as those you criticize (i.e., you are more Trump than anyone you criticize as being "like a Trump)! LOL

I guess a reminder that Poilievre has never held a real job hit a nerve with some.

Excuse me??? You bring that up, constantly - it clearly bothers you.

What I brought up -was your mental gymnastics/hyperbole/redefining of words - equating a gov't salary to "the dole".

Congrats - you've demonstrated your spectacular ability to completely miss the point! LOL

Welfare is different from EI. EI is Employment insurance (it the old unemployment insurance), you draw EI for a set amount of time, after you cease employment or between jobs. Today welfare is given is you need to make rent, buy food without having a job for a long long time or after EI runs out if you don't have a job....

Poilievre doesn't have to worry'

He became eligible for a full pension at age 31.

Because it's the only job he's ever held.

He's lived on the dole his entire adult life.
It beats being a part time drama teacher brought up with a silver spoon in his mouth who gets fired from his only job and has to leave in the middle of the night.

I'm pretty sure Trudeau was a full time math and French teacher.

Poilievre can't even claim he was a part time snow board instructor.

But I guess I can understand why Poilievre's lack of education and work experience rankles you.

Yeah maybe for a year before a scandal at the school he was teaching at forced him to quit mid term. Personally if I had to choose between someone who had been working in the political system for a couple of decades...because it is a paid position with direct responsibility to a very important job whether you consider it so or not and appears to have worked his way up the system through merit.......and someone born a spoiled trust fund baby and his work experience had been as a snowboard instructor and failed teacher, and has had everything handed to him on a silver platter his entire life because of his last name, I think I would tend to think the former was more qualified. And after the last nine years of hell, not many can argue that Trudeau is a completely unqualified narcissist, not many would argue otherwise.....except maybe you;)

You are the one rankled by job experience who continually rails on about it....not anyone else.

hardly, he was barely there for over a year or two, most say he was a substitute

bottomline he wasn't there long enough to call him a "fulltime" or put any stock in it

ugh... this thread is so dead.

culture war bullshit. whatever.

economic policy? too complicated!
what do you think the left wing zealots economic policies are based on?

culture wars, oppressor/whitey oppressor everyone else constant victim

they have no economic plan, except to hand out welfare as bribes to stay in power

dead? let's hope not

cause we'll never get rid of idiots who won't fix shit like this

https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/b-c-sexual-assault-case

particularly like the bullshit Liberal judge and their moronic 10 yr ban on firearms

yeah, cause a fucking POS like him should be allowed to own a gun ever, after basically saying no woman should have to agree to let him rape them

just like 3 yrs seems right too, look at the list of convictions/charges

he'll probably do a year then get out

too complicated?

who won't put real bad people away?

look at who's stopped any attempts to

I have to say Justin Trudeau has just gone up tremendously in my estimation as Donald Trump’s stunning cabinet picks have a poor opinion of him according to the National Post!!

FIRST READING: The Trump cabinet really, really hates Trudeau
U.S. administrations usually don't have strong opinions about Canada. Not this time

Who doesn't really, really hate Trudeau?

He's pretty much universally disliked inside and outside of Canada.

Enjoy your sock boy fandom.

The man child is on his way out.

This was in the US thread. Which was first?
It is pretty obvious they will not get along, not a revelation or anything.
Even a creepy little sycophant like Poilievre might be too nerdy for The Donald; he might get left waiting on JD Vance's dirty couch.

Pointing out how Trudeau shares similarities with Trump does not really bolster your argument. One is a rooster pretending to be a swan, the other a pig that thinks he's an eagle. Big fucking deal.

It was the tongue in cheek I was aiming for. This thread needs a lighter touch!

The biggest threat to Canadian politics is the Supreme Court and its decisions.
Aboriginal land claims will be the most important, with the most long lasting consequences for current and future citizens of Canada.
Canadian Taxpayers will be on the hook for Trillions of dollars (that like over 100 times every Canadian budget since confederation), not to mention the loss of natural resources control from the provincial government to individual tribes in Canada. Already Aboriginals are the 3rd arm of government as Provincial and Federal governments give over control in mining and transportations projects and environmental assessments.
Aboriginals should be just like every other Canadian;, they can pay land taxes and income taxes.
The biggest thing people have to think about is Canada a Windsor possession or is Canada is a representation of all its citizens.

yeah, 2 million people a week disagree with you

that's the number of people who can't afford to feed themselves or their kids

we've had a "light" touch for 9 years

it's time for the adults in the room to act/speak up

no, the politicians are the biggest problem

they help pick the mp that becomes/stays as PM

the PM picks the judges for the supreme court/appoints them

and finally the MPs, house of commons is

supposed to make the fucking laws, not the supreme court

and if they strike something down, the MPs need to fight back and rewrite the law

and finally stop picking fucking moronic fucks for the supreme court in the first place

who think it's their job to make laws and make shit up to justify their delusions of reality
