CNN this evening was a total embarrassment. No professionalism, no integrity no honesty. So-called journalists, commentators and professors didn’t analyze anything. They acted like teenage girls at a Taylor Swift concert swooning over every speaker and not a word of criticism. It was nothing more than a love fest, not any kind of journalistic enterprise.

I am pretty sure that Trump's wives wouldn't be offended by being referred to as Trophy Wives. From what I understand they are very intelligent ambitious women, who are getting exactly what they want from the relationship. Under certain metrics Trump is a great catch as a husband and provider. Realistically speaking many cultures and societies value different criteria than we do in the West, and I see nothing wrong with that. I would absolutely never marry Trump myself, but that's because I'm already married and he doesn't have any of the things I value in a partner. (He's not female, doesn't care about me at all, lacks integrity, basic understanding of the truth, is a proven felon, and he's obsessed with things that I think are unimportant - like personal power, personal wealth, and becoming the president of the United States for reasons I'm not sure that I think are selfless... and he's a politician) Maybe I'm too picky but he's not for me. Good thing I'm Canadian and not American.
Double standard? - Hypocrisy? - I don't think so.
It is my opinion that the worst thing that anyone can do in life is lie.. to yourself.. to others.. lying is wrong. Deception is the heart of all evil.
Donald Trump lies.. unreservedly, shamelessly, blatantly, as a matter of common discourse.. He Lies. I know all politicians lie in some manner or another, shade the truth, spin doctor things.. I find that reprehensible too. But the man Lies. All The Time. I can't have respect for a man that does that. I know that the other options may not be stellar, I know that there are political reasons why some may prefer him to Harris (I'm not American - I don't care about any of that) If you can look in your heart, logically look at the facts and tell me that he isn't a consummate and profligate liar... then I'm sorry I think you need help. If you can admit he's a liar, and it doesn't matter to you because of other factors then I applaud you for your honesty and wish you the best.

The WaPo and CNN are two of the biggest cheerleaders for the Democrat Party. They don't bring up her unlikeability lightly. Those weren't Fox pieces, or conservative sites, and it was this year, not dredged up from 10 years ago. The same woman who couldn't get a single delegate from her own state, who was a drag on Biden, who covered up Biden's mental health and has never managed to have any reaction in her own party other than dislike and hasn't laid out any policies, you seem to think has suddenly become the most inspiring and dynamic saviour the world has seen.
Where has she been tested? How would she respond to a crisis? How many interviews has she given? Why do you believe the U-turn of a party supposedly "saving democracy" (whatever that even means) forwarding a candidate that only competed for delegates once, and had to drop out almost immediately?
Face it - you, and your ilk don't even know anything about her, and worship her for one reason, and one reason only - she's not Donald Trump.

I think a lot of folks are getting tired of the constant negativity. In both the US and Canada the opposition parties offer nothing in the way of solutions to real or imagined issues, just i will make it all better. Nostalgia is a funny thing like revisionist history, some how everything was brighter, bigger, better, tastier and easier.....yesterday. Both parties realized that the oldsters were past their best before date. One acted and I think one wishes they could.
