I should also add, some Democrats were looking to replace Harris as the VP candidate. Her polling numbers were terrible and she was dragging down the ticket.

That's interesting because on the Election Predictions Official website, if the election were held today, Trump would win.
This website uses the aggregate results from multiple legitimate independent polling companies.
Today's results have Trump winning the Electoral College vote with a 287 to 251 margin.
There's one way that Kamala Harris can win.
