Honestly, it's great having more female points of view around here. It often gets a bit too spermy - to bastardize a term - and it's nice to have even a few voices to balance that out. Unfortunately, often those spermy voices end up taking offence very easily, which can unfortunately drive many of the female voices away.

You're right and kudos to any lady who can show up here and shake off the abuse and idiocy.
I've known many who tried and couldn't handle it. I wrote in the "tough critics" thread a lot of guys seem have anger issues, they don't want sex, they want someone to shit on.
Maybe the worst are all the guys giving free business advice.

I tend to think of a sausagefest as being a chill gathering of dudes eating bbq and having a few beers. Which lacks the implication of an angsty, hormonal teenager, walking out of his bedroom full of crusty and well loved crew socks, with a sour look on his face, spoiling to take his anger issues out on someone.
If that helps to illustrate it further. 😂
We had a beautiful young lady where I work. Smart, hardworking and a really nice person.
A few people hated her.
Women who were jealous.
Guys who wanted her but had zero chance.
She was bullied relentlessly by both.
She committed suicide because of it.
You are right: nobody should care what some troll thinks but it has a cumulative effect. Getting insulted day after day wears anyone down.
To all the members-
NEVER NEVER NEVER say stupid shit like “it shouldn’t bother her” or “she couldn’t take a joke”. You don’t know fuck all about someone else’s circumstances and an ignorant cheap shot could be the final straw for that person.
I'm very fortunate to have been trained to not give a shit.
Unfortunately, many people haven't been blessed with attitude.

I recall a wonderful, hardworking adminstrative assistant that was a permanent/temp that was taking a lot of shit and hoping to get a permanent job with the company I worked for.
After a while I just told that she was wasting her time because the company was shit.
I set her up with some interviews with some decent companies and she is very happy now.
I hate it when people are treated like shit.
I've taken a lot due to being a union guy but I can handle it.
If you are having difficulties try to reach out for help or try to change your situation. It can be very difficult but you are much better off in the end.
The person is still sending me emails to get me to stop. I understand that not everyone likes me but idk put me on ignore, that’s exactly why that button exists. So that you don’t have to see the people that annoy you
