Hey Everyone.
I'm new to this and after reading many posts and trying to learn the etiquette of the industry here in Canada, I wanted to ask a few questions:
- I believe it would be normal for a SP to request a deposit for first timers - but is this practice really common? or should I avoid everyone who requests payment in advance?
I've seen some people who were asked for other payments after the deposit, like security and such.
- Should I only do cash payments? If I were to meet with a SP
- What are common redflags for you guys when contacting a SP for the first time? From what I read, a few are: they don't do a screening, being rushy, not having social media
- Is it considered rude to request an exchange of selfies with a timestamp to confirm identity before agreeing to do any type of deposit?
