With prices for a lot of things moving steadily higher for the past year, and my income sadly not keeping up, I’ve had to cut back on seeing the ladies. I started in on this “hobby” earlier last year and was seeing someone new every 3-4 weeks until the fall. Rates were going up for the independents (along with everything else), and so I had to cut back to every month or two. Now it’s even less. I even noticed one of the ladies posting on Twitter that it’s really slow.

So I’m wondering, is anyone else in the same boat as me? Or are most of the guys here able to keep on keeping on despite the economic headwinds?
I feel like I got into this at a bad time or something…I got a taste of the forbidden fruit and now it’s harder to get lol

Times are definitely tough... and it's going to get tougher before it gets better. Such turbulent economic times call for cutting back on excess spending. You are not alone, bro.

I TOFTT 4-5 times in the last 18 months or so. All were duds with mediocre to low service level and rushed me to finish with 1/3rd time left. You'd think if business was slow, they wouldn't be all acting like this. Obviously there are enough people with more money than sense still condoning such poor service.

I'm not gonna TOFTT anymore for the rest of the year or beyond.

Also beware of those girls and places whose threads keep being pushed daily multiple times by the usual suspects. They also have damage control type positive reviews trying to white wash recent poor ones. From personal experience, I can say that at least three ladies are super-overhyped after seeing them, 2x for one, and once for the other two. There was also another who I "booked" but didn't or wasn't supposed to show up at all.

Stick to well known agencies to reduce risk. They don't usually have hidden upcharges like parlours so you may budget more easily. Generally they also honour appointments, unlike the roulette game you're forced to play at certain overhyped parlours. Don't be penny -wise and pound- foolish. A table in a parlour just can't compare with a real bed in an apartment, especially if the parlor raises price twice already this year.

I never take chances on unknowns now. Tight money? Don’t take chances on sketchy providers!
I play it safe and stick to proven talent. Either ladies I already know or very well reviewed by trusted members.

I wrote my message when I was tired, and I can see I wasn’t very clear. I meant that I was seeing people that were “new” to me. I definitely relied on the collected wisdom here, and only saw well established and well reviewed providers. Ladies like Betty Black (now Mia), Charlee Beckett, Mandy Mayhem, Emily Woods, Ray Harridan, Miss Hunter, etc.

i’m just not comfortable enough yet, and don’t have the spare cash to TOFTT. I’ve only seen a couple of the ladies where I wasn’t thrilled with the experience. All of the ones above were great to excellent.

I think everyone is in this boat. Unless you're in the 1% of folks whose income is untouchable by economic trends.

I have recently been contacted by two providers that I reached out to in the past and had no response. One was more than a year ago the other 2 1/2 months ago.
What does that tell ya?
That seems pretty unusual! Guess everybody’s tight for cash to some extent. I feel bad for the ladies honestly. I noticed a lot of them bumped their rates up last winter and this year, because of course their incalls and everything else went up… but most of us, as clients, can’t just raise our wages up - so there is seemingly a bit of a disconnect. For me, I just have to have fewer encounters which just makes it more challenging for the ones that cater to guys like me.

My income hasn't even come close to keeping up with inflation, and providers within my budget have largely disappeared. I've cut down from seeing providers about once a month to just a couple times a year for special occasions. I tried doing 15 minute sessions a couple times but they're just not for me. I have no interest in going to a micro. It sucks having to watch my spending so closely for the first time in years, but luxuries like seeing SPs is always gonna be the first thing to cut when money's tighter

Yeah, it sucks. I have never actually tried a session shorter than an hour. I just can’t imagine it would hit the spot for me. I like a little “get to know you” time and being rushed would spoil it. Luxuries are the first thing to get cut back on

whats happening is the gap between the "haves" and the "have nots" is growing. girls are raising their rates not just because of rising costs but because they can, and people are still paying. those people paying are that class of people who are making a killing in the top ten percent of earners. so top earners are seeing the girls more often and "taxed at source" types are unable to afford the luxury any more.

Don't forget about all the SIMPS out there,...

Canadian economy might be crashing, but they know they can rely on those digital pennies from around the world for showing their goods on webcam as a viable alternative to doing any physical meets.

So any ideas that due to the economy crashing, providers will start cutting their rates to keep flow of customers going their way, ...nppe; it's not like in the pre-internet days, where career providers would do such a thing.

Maya/Sativa mentioned in a thread she raised her rates to avoid seeing too many clients.

Can’t blame them if they can pull it off. It’s human nature to want to work less for more. If she had a goal of making 1200/day and previously was meeting six clients/day at 200 an hour. Now, if her regulars return, she is simply seeing three clients for 400 an hour. Cuts her workload in half for the same payday.

Hope springs eternal that some might lower the rates a bit to drum up business, but you’re probably right. I don’t blame them for it…makes sense for them and it’s safer.

Stretched reasoning isn't it? You don't have info into the spending habits of the top 10%, or the income stream of providers. Conjecture based on no real data from either side.

I think with the pressure of Inflation and less disposable income, it is pretty tough out there. Especially if you are paying a big rent. Another aspect of small business people is that at the end of December is when the money that was offered( by the Federal Government) during Covid 19 is due to be repaid. Some businesses borrowed up to 40k. If one pays it all back at the end of December, 25 % of the loan is forgivable. So a perfect financial storm. High rent, less business due to less disposable income, and then perhaps renewing a five year lease and adding a big loan repayment all on top of this? Who would do that in this environment? Many businesses are going to close their doors in December. Think restaurants as another example. Many will simply hand the keys over to the leasing agency. Very sad situation.

I've seen plenty of Twitter posts from SW's as well, the economy is hitting all of us. I'm sure there is a small % of SW's still doing fine w/o worry but some do let out that times are tough, especially if a majority of their clientele were middle-class/blue-collar.

I have definitely scaled back from averaging once monthly to zero for remainder of 2023 till I pay off some debts. It is what it is; tighten my personal budget for a few months and see how things go in 2024.
