I detest noisy people and culture. I am having a hard time this summer as my Retired Chinese neighbors yap yap yap for hours in the yard in terrible sounding Cantonese. I am Chinese so I guess I can say my language sounds awful and its PC right?

I have to put on my headphones constantly in summer. I have thought of living in a culture where its common to not have people talk loud, split, litter, and respect privacy and keep to themselves. I am thinking of saving up vac time and money to go to the Nordics to see if I its the place to hang it up.

So those that have been up there is it more peaceful?

I use to live in Hong Kong and NYC so I have had it up to HERE and than some with city life. I would not go for free back to those places.

Inthe Scandinavian countries the overwhelming majority of sexual assault cases are from these illegal 3rd world types.
Yes it's the first time they've seen a beautiful girl but it's not a defense.

I've been to both Norway and Sweden. Wonderful countries, kind of like a Canadian vibe. Oslo was great, it's somewhat of a large city, but with a small town feel. I'd like to go back, but not necessarily to live there. I typically don't look at costs when I'm on vacation, but even for me, Norway was indeed expensive. So, if want to retire there, your money may not go a long way.

If quiet is all you're looking for, get yourself a property in Horsefly or some other tiny town, build a cabin and enjoy it.
