Everything nowadays is blamed on climate change lol. It rains, fires, snowstorms, tornado's, clouds over, hurricanes turn on your A/C , dogs drinking water, Trump potentially winning the republicans debate, skeleton Joe regaining the White House and creating more destruction, farting in public ----- heck--- hippos humping in the park .... Just blame all that on climate change. Good gawd...what's next? 🙄 What a fucked up world.

There’s an app for that:
https://futureplanet.com/app

…and yes I do expect all human beings to at least try and roughly figure out their carbon footprint.

It’s not about total tons of CO2 or getting the data exact, it’s really about becoming conscious of your choices and the impact they have on the planet. EG: if you fly 4 or more times a year (especially overseas), you are effectively a planet fucker.

I hear so much chatter about climate change and saving the planet from bleeding heart hypocrites who vacation in Vietnam, Thailand, Bali, hop over to Morocco for a few days and stop in to see their friend in New York. Time to wake the fuck up people.

If someone is too stupid or lazy to learn about their personal impact on climate change, then they should shut the fuck up or get off the planet imho. Governments and education leaders don’t help—too ignorant about their role in this and can’t be seen to denounce the travel industry, hospitality, etc, so instead, it’s heatpumps for everybody!

Our individual actions on climate change are like rearringing the deck chairs on the titanic. We collectively know something is wrong but remain ignorant about what to do and blame industties and governments for the things we consume.

Run your CF calculator. Please.

-Punt.
Well Punt, the biggest carbon foot print is steel. To make steel you need pig iron (from iron by burning it). The carbon footprint of steel is very high. Modern industry and our modern world would collapse overnight if we banned steel.
Most electricity in the world is made by coal. Next would be natural gas. Most oil drilling wells burn off the natural gas at the well head or in the fractioning plant.
Transportation (using oil or gas) to bring you your food from California in the winter months for fresh veggies and fruit.
Everything in your house was made by some company who used either oil or gas as an energy source. If its plastic its from fossil fuel...

The scary part is that there are people out there convincing you to lower your Carbon footprint. The question is why?

In Canada we could have high speed electric trains between cities. Any metro service like skytrain is too expensive to put out to Chilliwack. All metro service sucks. Not enough planned routes to get you where you want to go in a timely fashion. Compared to a ICE car.

Our world is in climate change, that will mean future mega projects to help with society like transportation, food supply, shelter, and jobs/carears.

What we have in the world for renewable energy is somewhere at 1/1000 of what actually need. (If a country say its has 6 % renewable energy and it depends on imports for a supply chain. And all imported material is made by coal... ) The biggest problem is how to store the renewable energy to use in time the suns not up and the wind don't blow.

The world is addicted to oil. Its why the Americans are busy cracking shale fields to produce oil and natural gas. That is the reason gas has been so cheap since 2014. Its rising now because of the war in Ukraine, because Russia has shut its gas off to Europe.

The biggest problem is that the federal government and provincial government don't have a plan. What stuff they put into place; they didn't consult industry or cities or groups in certain sectors of the economy.

Even the Cylons had a plan....

No good without people to fly them.
Nobody in their right mind would fight firest fires! That’s scary dangerous and I sure as fuck wouldn’t.

As long as we have morons approving residential developments in bone dry areas like the Okanagan or Southern California things are going to get worse and worse. More water being pulled out of aquifers so yuppies can have nice lawns. Car nuts washing their shiny hot rods in violation of water waste laws.
They deserve to have their houses burn.
Well I have worked with Coulson in Port Alberni on a measurement problem, when he was converting 737's for bombers and I met a lot of the folks fighting fires. Its like any front line and first responder. Brave folks.
I stand by what I noted about a need for water bombers. Take out the fire as it is starting.

Interesting watch. Residential and Commerical consumption only accounts for 14% of water consumption in California. A whooping 86% is agricultural, with the lions share going to grow alfalfa... to feed cows. Slowing on your next steak or hamburger would have more impact on water usage than letting your lawn die.

Not saying it's not a dumb idea to build communities in what are basically deserts. That doesn't help any either.

It's the same ol psychology trick, repeat the chant enough times and keep speaking it louder, people will believe it.

I find it ironic that the ones attending these climate summits are the worst polluters around, but they try and make us believe it's our fault.

Oh and please explain to me how a tax (carbon) is going to fix this so called climate change problem?

Yes it is fucked up. And farting in public is the least of the issues.
Science. vs Hearsay I guess. Science shows that as we head to the 1.5C planetary temperature increase, the loss of multiples of flora and fauna tips the Earth into a world that cannot support the population. Hearsay says fuck that.
But sure, debunk climate change.

Three years ago at the beginning of the pandemic around April/May 2020 when everything basically shut down worldwide the airways and waterways around the world were cleaning up. Instead of humans trying to get back to normal(what we had been doing was not normal), humans should have turned inward and asked themselves how did they get into this environmental & economic mess. Over consumption, greed and living beyond ones means has put humans on to a real fast track to extinction. Stay safe, stay small, stay home!
