I saw my first street walker at age 15, and it was a lot of fun. But I do have to agree with the other guys, it affects your life, and outlook on future relationships.
I also stick with my original comment in this thread, that if you do decide someday to see a professional, go see an indy at her place, and not someone who is too young or inexperienced herself. Once you have some experience yourself, and seen say 5 or more pros, then its not bad seeing rookies. No I am not saying that your first time has to be with someone in her 50s or 60s, just someone who has at least a few years in the biz, and has seen it all, heard it all, and can offer guidance in a calm respectful manner. Sure they are going to be a lot different than any gf you dated, and they are guaranteed to screw you silly, but never treat them with anything but respect and kindness. Just because you paid for an hour or two, doesn't mean that you're allowed to treat them like a piece of meat, or be disrespectful. Not saying that you would anything but kind, just mentioning it. If in the future, could be years and years from now, you find yourself wanting to try new things, for example Greek, make sure that you communicate your desire well in advance upon initial contact with the lady. Again some guys have the misconception that a pro probably doesn't have anything she finds taboo. Trust me they do, and many won't for example do Greek, and don't push it when told no. Like anyone else, no means no.
This all probably sounds like common sense, and shouldn't need to be said. But talking to professional ladies over the years, it shocks me some of the stories they have told me. Clear communication is a great thing, especially in the beginning. So don't be scared to express your own feelings and limits.
