Surprised nobody started a thread on the playoffs, commencing in approx 1 hr.
We'll have lots of hockey with 8 series happening over the next 2 weeks.

I anticipate a 2nd round Battle of Alberta, with the winner(survivor) likely facing the Av, tho' the Wild?Blues winner could have a say there.

IF the Leafs get by T.Bay they could go deep, but that is a big IF

By now you've got your pool picks, anyone have opinions/thoughts on the upcoming playoffs?

MLB...there's a Blue Jays thread but I have to say the Jays are off to a good start, with going thru a tough beginning schedule, only playing vs
perennial AL East heavyweights Yanks&Bosox, as well as AL Pennant winner Astros.
They are looking good.

Did your fav NFL team did much to help the roster at last weekend's draft?

NBA into the 2nd round...I don't follow it much but would welcome feedback.

Thx for any input and..enjoy the games!!

Flames vs Stars in Dallas.
Anyone else come out of their chair looking at the shots of that incredible blonde milf behind the Dallas bench.

I don't see Toronto getting past the first round. It's all too common that they choke in the first round and as sad as it is to say, history will most likely repeat iteslf.

Thank you Leafs. You didn’t disappoint (although it was close).
They got beat by a team that has been there. But and I know its been said before, next year ... all the ingredients are there.
So how about McJesus? Wow.

well, the 1st round didn't disappoint.
although there are fans who dont like the current playoff format the fact that, of 8 series, 5 went the distance and 2 others went 6, will
cause the ppl in charge to say it's a good format.
the 5 game 7's were all nail-biters.

2nd round highlight, to me at least, is the Battle of Alberta...appointment viewing.I wonder if MacJesus will be the difference?
Battle of Florida s/b gd as well..I'm still not sold on the Panthers...they may well prove me wrong.

Any bold predictions?Enjoy!!

CFL players on strike......not what the league needs, it struggles at the best of times.

Blue Jays struggling mightily to produce some offence, the 15-8 start is in the rear-view mirror.
Put some viagra on the bats, maybe?

Re the NHL
I don't think I have ever seen such parity. Any of the teams going the 7 including the ones who got beat could have gone the distance given a bit of timing and a shot here and there that was lucky instead of unlucky.
I think injuries may play more a part than ever before.
No predictions from me, but it is great hockey and great entertainment.

Yeah, that sucks. They better work shit out, and not get so caught up in negotiating positions that they forget how easily it could all be over.

Hilarious to think that a team can be scored on 6 times in an NHL playoff game and still win it.

Going by memory...I think Game 5 of the '73 SC
was Hawks 8 Habs 7....and that was with Dryden and Esposito in goal.
