She is looking to suck you in and get the code from a gift card that she asks you to buy as payment, supposedly safer than cash - a classic scam that leaves you holding a useless piece of plastic because she has used the code the moment she gets it from you as "verification" or some such pretext. Pics don't seem to be stolen but that does not mean they're of her. You won't see her anyway because she will vanish the moment you give her the gift card code. https://www.leolist.cc/personals/fe...nd/nanaimo_sweet_as_honey-6578590?source=list Phone number is in Manitoba, Winnipeg area *** 9575

Good that someone spotted and reported a scam. Unfortunately you only got 1 of the half dozen or so. Pretty much every posting that asks for a "deposit " up front is a scam. But the obvious truth of the situation is that they wouldn't keep doing it if they weren't making money. So, if you encounter a scam, report it. That's how we ensure that the scammers go away and the legit SP's stick around.

Just a friendly lil tip: Many reputable escorts also request deposits, it is a valuable tool for us to weed out timewasters. A deposit request alone is not indicative of a scammer. It’s on you to do some research to confirm the lady has a good reputation before sending a deposit. If you’re sending to someone with no reviews, a text only app number, no website, no social media presence, who’s rates and photos look too good to be true, then you’re likely going to lose that deposit. Many of us ask for other provider references to prove you’re a good client, you should be looking for proof of reputation too. One or more of these indicators will ensure your provider is real before sending a deposit. It can be scary sending money to someone you’ve never met, but don’t let that fear keep you from meeting someone amazing who happens to require deposits. 😘

You're absolutely right, due diligence is always a great idea. That's what makes this site valuable. But EVERY SINGLE TIME that I have sent a "deposit" regardless of due diligence, I have been ripped off. So now I just don't do it and I know that I am not the only one who thinks that way. There is nothing worse than setting up an appointment with an SP, getting ready (shower, tidy the place up, run to the ATM etc.), and she doesn't show, doesn't communicate, and you have lost your deposit. Unfortunately there are people who do this as a way to make a living with no intention of ever providing a service. As for legit providers who charge a deposit, there's a huge difference between "can you send $50.00 for gas" or "to pay my driver", and "can you send half (or even all) to prove that you are real and not wasting my time". Please remember that you are providing a service, in exchange for our "hard earned money", and treat that with the respect it deserves. For my part, based on past experience, I don't care how legit you are, I will never send a "deposit" up front, or pay with any other form of payment except cash. I am fully aware that I am probably "missing out" on some legit providers, but while thare are still providers who value and respect their clients enough to not charge a "deposit", I am happy to stick with those providers and enjoy my money well spent on quality service from a provider who respects me.

Absolutely, it’s your choice not to see providers who charge deposits, just as it’s a providers choice to lose potential clients because she does.

Personally I do not charge them because Ive found they are a deterrent for many clients for the reasons you’ve illustrated, but if someone stands me up I do ask for a “second chance fee”. It’s why I totally understand why more and more ladies have started asking for deposits. We too spend time and effort getting ready for a date, and when he doesn’t show up, we lose expected income, as well as the time wasted.

It’s not disrespectful to ask for a deposit. Many civvie businesses require deposits, or a credit card to provide a financial guarantee in case the customer cancels. A deposit and/or cancellation fee is standard practice throughout the service industry. When planning a wedding for example, you can’t book a caterer, photographer, florist or venue without a deposit. If you book a hotel room and don’t cancel within the deadline, they charge your card because you had to provide it when you booked. Even doctors charge you when you don’t show up. But escorts can’t enforce a cancellation fee, so a deposit makes sense. Nothing about this practice is disrespectful, it’s just a service provider ensuring their time (which is money) is not wasted.

What IS disrespectful is ripping people off, which is what happened to you. Jerkface scammers give the rest of us a bad name. It’s so frustrating.

It really sucks that you’ve had bad experiences with every deposit you’ve offered, and I agree there are way too many scammers out there. But I still maintain that it’s not always a scam, and there are many reputable ladies who ask for and receive deposits with no intent to disrespect their clients and no issue with theft. I just wanted to speak up on their behalf.

I encourage you to support your fellow pooners and report any lady who has ripped you off. Post links to her ads, social media or website in the 411 section. A reputable provider won’t remain reputable for long if they are out there blatantly ripping off potential clients.

This shitty behavior hurts us as much as it hurts you because it undermines trust. We don’t want to see it happening in our community either. Scammers should always be called out! 😘
