They're not tracking us. If you read the article we are not the target of this investigation.

I agree and really how many of us pooners are doing the things they are looking for.
Still, it just solidifies the old "cash is king" mantra.

It’s one more breadcrumb for someone to know your real identity, and speaking from experience, YOU DO NOT WANT THAT

-Burner Phones or Text Apps
-A decent Alias
-No “deposits” or “eTransfer”, no matter how reputable the SP... One day she may not be or someone’s else gains access to that info.
-Cash is King

If that isn’t good enough, move on to the next

Many SP's now require a deposit and many accept gift cards. I think if you buy a gift card at Safeway, 7\11 ..... and pay cash, you are probably safe! :p

Until there are no big fish left to fry, that was kind of my point in making this thread.

The fact that they even CAN back-trace should be scary enough, the fact that there is a task-force even actively investigating the happenings within the sex trade is another reason.

Say they decided to take a different approach, where they flag someone's bank account. Someone who is a known provider, and they start asking why and where all these e-transfers are coming from? It's not illegal to be a provider, but it's still illegal to be a client. If their investigation bears a whole fruit basket, then sooner or later it'll become policy. Banks will cross-reference social media accounts, get those accounts flagged and start slapping anyone connecting to them.

Paranoia….the irrational and persistent feeling that people are 'out to get you’……
Riiight, and yet I just linked a news article explaining how they can get you, if they were so inclined to go after the little fish.

I'm not sure if you've ever operated a business, or be responsible for a team in operations. In this context, targeting individuals makes no sense at all - and saying "they could" is no justification.

If you don't like it, then don't use it. No need to push false narratives.
